A lovely renovated town house within sight of the Cité - Carcassonne's historic fortified citadel. (800m walk) Located in a quiet residential area. The house offers two completely separate apartments, ideal for extended family/friends holidays. Apartment A (Upstairs) comprises of 3 bedrooms offering 2 king size rooms and a twin bedded room. Fully fitted bathroom with bath/shower. Modern dining kitchen and comfortable living room with stunning views of La Cité. Apartment B (Downstairs) comprises of 2 bedrooms offering 1 king size and a twin bedded room. Fully fitted shower room and toilet. Modern open plan dining kitchen/living room with patio doors leading to the garden, ideal for alfresco dining. The living room has a bed settee offering 2 extra sleeping places. The house has a large garden which naturally splits into two, barbecues and patio furniture for both apartments with ample parking available. Local shops and amenities 5 minute walk.

La Cite, a world heritage centre, a ten minute walk away with its spectacular castle, many shops and cafes, a great place to sample the local wine and taste the 'cassoulet' a local speciality. Many festivals are held throughout the year. In the new part of Carcassonne on a Saturday you will find a typical French market selling local produce. The River Aude flows through, feeding the many vineyards surrounding Carcassonne. Take a boat trip along the Canal du Midi from nearby Trebes. A ten minute drive will take you to Carcassonne Plage for swimming, boating and a lovely place to walk. Narbonne Plage, a wonderful Mediterranean beach is a forty minute drive. The Pyrenees and The Black Mountains providing the back drop for Carcassonne, ideal for the more adventurous and energetic. Mirapoix with its ancient timbered houses and Toulouse the city of French aviation and cultural centre is an hour away. Barcelona under 3 hours away. Andorra, tax free shopping, offers a great day out.

We had a lovely time. You arranged great weather.
We thought it was wonderfully located flat and so well presented.
As self-catering regulars we were amazed at the facilities and utensils you provided. The only place we've been in that went one better was a flat in Finland (winter skiing) which had a sauna and dishwasher! But it didn't have a garlic press and you had to order your wine from the post office for next day delivery because of the strict alcohol laws in Scandinavian countries.
If you want to put a recommendation from us on your website do go ahead.
We'd be happy to say it was a gem of a find on the internet(so people know we are not just your friends giving you a good blurb). The kitchen was so well equipped, the sitting room very comfortable and the location fantastic. Mr and Mrs Buckle of Berlin...

Just a quick note now I'm back into the swing of things to say how much my daughter and I enjoyed our stay in your house in Carcassonne. Apartment B was absolutely perfect for us two girlies - being able to breakfast outside in the sunshine and have a glass of wine in the evening was super. The apartment exceeded our expectations - well equipped, comfortable, clean and homely. Carcassonne was also fantastic and we managed to survive driving on the French roads (also the French survived our driving on their roads!) - we found the lake, Lagrasse, Limousis and Rennes le Chateau and Rennes les Bains. We also found, quite by chance, the beautiful river at Ribault where we were able to soak our hot and dusty feet after vising the Abbey in Lagrasse - so I would recommend that to your visitors.

THE BEST BARGAIN IN CARCASSONNE

Did exactly what it said on the tin! This is one of the best equipped apartments that I have stayed in - also very handy for both La Cite and La Bastide yet in a very quiet area. There is a supermarket, fishmonger, hairdresser and Halal shop just a few minutes away.

Two good sized bedrooms, lovely lounge and kitchen/dining
area and a good sized garden - perfect for a family.

I would certainly stay here here again
