This exclusive development with swimming pools is situated above the historic wine village of FITOU, between Perpignan and Narbonne. A modern apartment has all new facilities and the additional benefit of Air-Conditioning. The open plan kitchen and living area, with TV and DVD, has double doors onto a large terrace with open views offering plenty of space to eat and relax. A door to the garage from the apartment makes life very simple along with a locked outdoor store cupboard for beach equipments, cycles etc. Level access throughout and an additional parking space. Walking distance from a 10th century Cathar castle with superb tapas and bar (open all year). Stunning views, wonderful walks, cycle routes and endless things to do and appreciate in this fabulous and breathtaking Catalonian area of the South of France all make for an excellent holiday. Fitou village is nestled in the hills overlooking the Mediterranean, it has excellent restaurants, supermarket, bar, boulangerie, etc. Famous for its wine there are many caves to visit and sample the local wine. Easy access by car to many EEC Blue Flag beaches all along the Mediterranean coast, the nearest is at Leucate where windsurfing and others water sports are very popular, cycles and boats can be hired here. There are cycle routes and walks all around the mountains from the apartment and the nearby N9 and A9 provide easy access to explore the rest of the south of France; Cathar castles including Rennes-le-Chateau just 1 hour away, the walled city of Carcassonne, the fishing port of Collioure, Sete the Venice of Languedoc, Narbonne, Montpellier, or even Spain. Closer just 15 min the wild animal park at Sigean and waterpark at Leucate or visit the famous oyster shacks.

  • Initial payment of £100 per to confirm your booking. The balance payable three weeks prior to holiday start date.
    A separate security deposit of £100 is also payable with the balance, to be returned on confirmation of the good and clean condition of the villa after departure.
    All rates are inclusive of linen, towels (except beach towels) and final clean.
  • Please inform me or the manager of any damages this is to ensure comfort and respect of other holiday makers.
    Please note the pool key unfortunately will cost £80 to replace if lost.

More Activities in Fitou and nearby: Fitou village has tennis courts, football stadium, petanque and children's play areas. Sigean wildlife park is open all year. Leucate beach offers sand yachting, kite-surfing, windsurfing. Near Leucate there is a large Water Park. La Franqui also has a great beach. Municiple golf, fishing, horse riding, the Canal du Midi, Cathar castle trails, wine tasting. Skiing etc. in the Pyrennes and Catalan mountains 2 hours drive.

We had a wonderful holiday, your apartment was perfect and Anne couldn't have been more helpful especially when we turned up at 11.00 am and she wasn't expecting us until about 4.0 pm but undeterred she carried on cleaning and came back later to give us some local information. I have given your details to some of my colleagues at work so don't be surprised if you get some more enquiries from up north.

We really enjoyed our stay at your apartment and had a lot of fun exploring the area.The weather was of course lovely while we were there so we actually got out and about every day. Places we particularly enjoyed were the old city of Carcassonne, the beach at Le Franqui, the villages of Colliure & Banyul together with the other villages on the ‘corniche’, and going completely the other direction, the journey through the hills to the wine villages of Tuchan and Paziols where the Mon Tauche winery shop is worth a visit .We had some super meals in the Cave D’Agnes in Fitou.May07

The owner was very helpful as we booked this apartment at very short notice. The apartment was spacious and clean. The shared pool area was great for our 3-year old, though sometimes it did get windy. Location was wonderful - beaches nearby - we enjoyed Franqui and Leucate. Perpignan centre was also enjoyable. All the facilities in the apartment were good, though it would have been nice to have a table to eat on outside. The neighbours also blocked the view of the sea with their balcony paraphernalia! Fitou is a great village, and we enjoyed three meals out there - Cave D'Agnes was a beautiful building and we really enjoyed the food, our 3-year old was made very welcome.

The only issue we had was picking up and dropping off keys/general info, but this wasn't a big problem. We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed the apartment and Fitou.

What a delight to stay at a property that was so well described and maintained. It was the perfect base for our family holiday - we were able to get to a variety of 'sights' and the beach easily but still had enough time left every day to enjoy the pool and relax on the terrace. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a mix of sun, sea and history!
