A studio apartment with magnificent views over the Mediterranean in the small holiday town of Gruissan. Shops, restaurants, sandy beach, marinas & all holiday facilities are just a few steps from the apartment, & the old town with its old world charm, markets, theatre, cinema etc. just a short walk away. A particularly good way of getting about is by bike [bike hire available] & there are masses of places to explore very close by. There is also a national park area behind the town with fantastic walking, horse-riding, mountain biking etc. Gruissan is ideally situated for exploring the wine country, cultural cities of Narbonne & Carcassonne, Canal du Midi, Cap d'Agde, Pyrenees etc. The apartment comprises a well equipped kitchen area & comfortable lounge/dining area with large panoramic window overlooking the sea. French TV, CD player. Pull-out bed. Separate cabin bedroom with double bunk plus single over. Shower room/wc. Private parking. Caretaker on site.

Gruissan is situated on the Mediterranean coast approximately 7 miles from Narbonne, 35 miles from the Cap d'Agde and 45 miles from Carcassone. Gruissan itself is part new town with the marinas, bars and beaches. and part old historic town. Everything is there for a self-contained holiday, but the surrounding area gives fantastic opportunities for exploring the Cathare country with its historic abbeys and castles, quaint little villages and wine country. The French fishing village of Sete, the Carmargue area with its famous white horses, and Montpelier are all within easy reach.

My wife and I stayed here for a short break in April. Wish we could have stayed longer. We will certainly return to this apartment in Gruissan again. The apartment was clean with all essentials for a self catering holiday. The view from the apartment is fantastic. There are several shops and restaurants nearby also a bicycle hire shop. Narbonne and Carcassone are well worth a visit. The old town of Gruissan has plenty of charm. We found it to be a very pleasant area for a relaxing holiday.

As this was an out-of-season holiday, my girlfriend and I didn't plan for scorching summer sun; instead we went for peace and relaxation, all of which Gruissan and the area provided in abundance. The apartment is as advertised, with all you need for self-catering including two reasonably-priced supermarkets and a patisserie within walking distance. In the area, there's a wide variety of eateries, some of which were even open on Christmas day. The town itself has plenty of Mediterranean charm, and both the nearby urban areas of Narbonne and Carcassone offer architecturally breathtaking days out. For enthusiasts of the grape, there are several wineries, at least two of which are in staggering distance, and for those who like their long walks or cycling, the close tourist information site offers a number of routes that vary in length and difficulty.
All in all, a very pleasant property and area.

We had a lovely holiday here, the apartment is well placed in an area with plenty of suitable resorts and beaches for families. We consider that it was well worth the money. Gruissan is a very pretty town with a castle on the hill and an old town area. The apartment is a good size for a family of 4. The property was clean, with all essentials, and had a good bedroom area for the children, and big bathroom. The apartment was situated above some shops and restaurants, but in the quieter area of town, away from the busier squares, with a lovely beach just to the left, which we enjoyed using in the evenings to play on. The owner was very helpful providing information on the property and area. The resort had a large selection of restaurants; there was also a bunjay trampoline in the area below, for very keen children to enjoy! It was also within easy reach of tourist attrations such as Carcassone, Narbonne and Perpignan. (Note: get to Carcassone early in the day, we were leaving it about 2pm and there were hordes arriving at that time!!).

In July spent we two weeks in Gruissan. There were three of us two adults and a child, eight years old. We staied in this tiny apartment and were surprised, that - so small as it was - it was so comfortable, convenient undcosy. All, we needed, was handy and worked perfecty. We had - as it was promissed - an individual perking. The environs were charming (All these mediewal little towns and villages, vineyards and mountains) and the strand - remarkable. When the weather was too windy, there were many possibilities to make varions excursions. We came back home sunburnt and satisfied.
