The architect-designed, newly renovated barn conversions have created 3 spacious gites which have all the character of the old stone walls, high ceilings and original wooden beams, combined with all the comforts and ‘mod cons’ that will make your stay here all the more pleasurable. There is also a heated pool in the landscaped, walled gardens. Access to the gite is via the large terrace that overlooks the pool & walled gardens. The terrace is set up for outdoor dining & has a gas BBQ. From the terrace you enter the spacious lounge, dining & kitchen area which has wooden floors & a high vaulted ceiling with exposed beams. There is a comfortable sofa & seating area, an indoor dining area & a fully equipped kitchen. Bedroom 1 has a comfortable king-size bed, dressing table & wardrobe, wooden floors & large full-length windows & a large en-suite bathroom. The mezzanine level has a large galleried landing, which overlooks the living area. There is a day bed which can convert to a king-size bed. The mezzanine can also be screened off from the main living area. Bedroom 2 is also on the mezzanine level & has a high sloping ceiling with exposed beams, a king-size bed (the room can be made up with 2 single beds), table d’appoint & wardrobe. There is also an adjacent shower room with sink & WC.

Notes to the rental rates

• Prices are for 7 nights starting on Saturday (4pm) and finishing the following Saturday (10am).
  Inclusive of electricity, cleaning, linen, bathrobes and towels (including pool towels).
  Bikes and golf clubs are available for guest use at no extra charge.
  
• A deposit of 25% of the rental is required when booking. The balance of the rental is due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
  In the event of cancellation of a booking within 8 weeks of arrival, the full cost of the reserved accommodation will be charged and will be refunded only in the event that all cancelled accommodation is re-let.

The immediate area around Tourouzelle offers endless possibilities for anything from a short ride up to full days mountain-biking or road cycling. Cycle routes will take you through the vineyards of the Minervois and Corbieres wine region and for the keen cyclist you can follow in the cycle tracks of the previous years Tour de France.

Walking

Enjoy walking amongst the spectacular scenery of the vineyards, the Black Mountains or for the more adventurous the Pyrenees are a short distance away. Many local villages, including Tourouzelle have marked walks that cover different types of terrain and are suitable for walkers of all different levels

Golf Information:

Outside of the hot summer months of July & August, the weather is ideal for a round of golf. Within easy access of Tourouzelle are several golf courses that golfers of all levels will find rewarding. From the beautiful setting of Mazamet golf course in the Black Mountains to the course at Carcassonne with wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
