Rocreuse Cottages are wings of a fine courtyard in the french classical tradition, enclosed on four sides by handsome buildings and entered by an arched gatehouse. The owners live in the imposing 'Maison De Maitre' to one side. At the rear the cottages give on to a spacious garden (two acres of lawn & mature trees) and the very large swimming-pool, 13m x 6.5m. The property is approached by a fine tree-lined drive (so there is no passing traffic) and surrounded by lovely peaceful countryside. Inside, the houses have been beautifully modernised without losing their traditional character --- there are fine old-style floor-tiles, and windows of classic proportions combined with modern equipment for the kitchen & bathroom and modern beds. Outside, the pool & gardens are shared, but each house has its own dinning & relaxing area. The houses are quite separate but can be taken by one group if they wish. With lovely towns and pretty countryside, this is a base for a memorable holiday.

A little more modern in décor than the other cottage, La Sardane still has a traditional ambience. Equipped for up to 5 people, it has a living-room comfortably furnished with easy chairs & a sofa with tv installed as well as video & a radio/stereo player, and a separate kitchen:dining room which includes the usual appliances for cooking, fridge with ice-section, micro-wave & dishwasher & washing-machine. There are electric radiators for the winter ; thick-stone walls ensure coolness in summer. A double-bedroom (bed 140 cm) & another with three single beds enables one to sleep up to 5. . Beds are fully equipped with duvets & sheets. The bathroom includes shower, hand-basin & w.c. . At rear, the house gives on to garden-space and a terrace for dining & barbecue, leading to the pool . The unusually large pool (13m x 6.5m) has generous terracing, sun-beds, & a security-fence conforming to French safety regulations. .
