The swimming pool is fully enclosed (with all-round barrier) and equipped with pool house, shower and toilet for added convenience. The children's play area comprises brand new tp™ play equipment (swings, slide, climbing ropes, etc.); a 14-foot fully-enclosed trampoline; and a sandpit. There is also an all-weather table-tennis table. Choose from a variety of eating areas, either sheltered underneath Acacia trees or in full sunshine. Kitchen: Well-equipped with electric cooker and gas hob, dishwasher, fridge freezer, and washing machine. The kitchen has a breakfast bar and leads to an open-plan dining room and lounge. Les Armengauds is a 100-200 year-old french farmhouse, gite and barn set in 2 acres, and surrounded by the sunflower fields of South-West France. Conveniently located, it is only 40 minutes from Carcassonne airport; 50 minutes from Toulouse airport; and just under an hour from the Mediterranean beaches and the nearest ski station in the Pyrenees. The nearest town is REVEL (8km) which is well served with restaurants, shops, and it’s picture-postcard, mouth-watering French market. LAC SAINT FERRÉOL: A beautiful lake fed from the Black Mountains, is only 6km from the property. The lake offers swimming, Windsurfing & Sailing, cycling, Pedal Boats & Crazy Golf, and Dining. CASTELNAUDARY (12km): World capital of the 'Cassoulet' and set on the banks of the Canal du Midi, this large town can offer shopping, dining and a number of other pursuits. All round barrier complies with safety regulations, and the pool is heated to ensure an enjoyable, leisurely swim for children and parents alike! Pool house contains shower and toilet for added convenience. (Pool open between mid-May and end October.) Brand new play area: Children's play area comprising brand new TP Sherwood Tower with 3m Rapide slide and climbing hoops; triple swing arm with two-seater Skyride; high back baby seat (for children from 6 months); plus single-seater swing seat. This is set in a very shady area of the property on soft-fall (wood chip) ground, ensuring complete fun, comfort and safety for all the children. Also includes 14-foot (fully-enclosed) trampoline and sand pit. Table tennis.

This is a fabulous holiday home, which is larger than we expected from the photographs. It has been beautifully decorated and is well furnished and equipped. There is an excellent, heated swimming pool with plenty of sunbathing areas surrounding it, as well as large grounds for the children to run about in. The views are wonderful as is the peace and tranquility

The farmhouse is in a very quiet location near to Revel and also Castelnaudary as well as various other pretty villages in the locality. The nearest lake is about 6 km away and we enjoyed a bracing swim as well as a spot of windsurfing. We took our bikes and there is just loads of cycling to do here. From around the lake (nice and flat) to serious mountain biking (i.e. the Black Mountains or the Pyrenees – you choose!).

The Med sea is only an hour away and we visited Narbonne Plage a couple of times, which we found very quiet for a principal beach. If you like hiking (or skiing in winter) the Pyrenees are also only an hour away. What a place!

In summary Les Armengauds is a fantastic place to relax with or without friends, or to have a full, activity-packed holiday!
