Close to the picturesque medieval village of Laurac, an essential Cathar location with a typical church and archaeological remains of fortification (11th, 13th and 16th centuries), you will find the ‘Domaine des Roujoux’, located between beautiful hills that surround the vast plain of Lauragais. Time has not erased the greatness and beauty of this place! Isolation, calmness and change of scenery are guaranteed! This is the perfect place to relax, to go for a walk, for a barbeque or a game of “petanque”. Let yourself be tempted by the apprentice golf court with nine holes on the hill (without equipment). The swimming pool (9 x 4.5. m) has a view of the Montagne Noire! The house is very cool in summer time and is comfortable and fully equipped. The rooms are luminous and spacious. Moreover, children will be delighted by the farm animals. The baker comes by three times a week with bread and croissants. This peaceful place is waiting for you! Above all, do not forget you sun cream!

On clear days, the ‘Pierre Levée’ platform (410 m), suspended over the village, allows you to discover 7 different districts of France. Here you will enjoy the silence. This cereal-growing region with multiple features will fascinate you and will stimulate your senses. Let yourself be surprised by the flora and fauna, relive its Cathar history, try the local wines, the famous ‘Blanquette de Limoux’ (which already existed a century before the ‘Champagne), the Pastel, its medieval markets (Mirepoix) and thermal springs (Alet-les-Bains). The swimming pool (view of the Montagne Noire): South-facing, the swimming pool is 9 by 4.5 meters with a 1 meter paddling pool. For the quietness and well-being of those who have children, a protection fence has been placed around the swimming pool. The gate can be locked by key (which will be in your possession) and can be opened from the inside. Sunscreens and deck chairs will allow you to do some reading, have a pleasant nap or just to enjoy the sun.

Lovely French-English story: The idea came from one of our English tenants, who was playing golf, in 2004. He had taken his golf clubs in order to play golf in Carcassonne during his holiday. When he arrived, he was astonished by the hectares of hills in Roujoux. With his experience and support, we built a nine-hole apprentice golf court on the hill (without equipment) in order to have a great time. We all tried it ! Since then, the golf court has been improved and this English tenant, who has become a good friend of us, will return this year in 2006, during 15 days, to play golf in Roujoux. A lot of fun is expected !
