Fabulous converted 17th century winery surrounded by vineyards with stunning views of the canal and Montaigne Noire. Conveniently located 6km from pretty market town of Narbonne. 2 acres of shared gardens with large swimming pool (12 x 6m), swing and climbing frame. 25min drive to beaches. The stone barns and stables have been lovingly converted into two large 4 bedroom house and one huge 5-bedroom house. Each house has beamed ceilings, 2 bathrooms, spacious lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchen, private terrace with garden furniture and BBQ. Also available are a delightfully spacious 2-bedroom apartment, sleeping 4/5, on the first floor of the Maison de Maitre, and a super large 3-bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, both fully furnished and equipped, each with its own private BBQ area. Cots and highchairs provided, babysitting, linen and towel hire. Telephone, internet connection and satellite TV in each property. Private parking. Fun and friendly atmosphere! Family run since 1989

A 17th century barn with adjoining stables has been carefully converted into two four-bedroom houses which each sleep eight and a five-bedroom house sleeping 10. With beamed ceilings throughout they retain much of the original character of the building. On one side the view is of vineyards and the tree-lined canal whilst the other side faces the cherry tree filled courtyard of the main building (where the two apartments are located). Each house has two bathrooms, spacious lounge, dining area and kitchen fully furnished and equipped with cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, iron and dishwasher. There is satellite TV (free view channels), private telephone, free wifi (for your laptop), private terrace with garden furniture and barbeque. Cot and highchair are provided on request. Linen & towel hire is available. Private parking.

The long sandy Mediterranean beaches are half an hours’ drive away. Narbonne Plage with its cafes, bars and ice-cream parlours. The contact with the owners via email was excellent, very good directions, also helpful sheet after arrival with directions to several attractions and shops etc. the property was clean although a bit sparsely furnished. there were no other guests in the other two houses and apartments, so we had the fantastic swimming pool and garden with play area to ourselves. There had been quite a lot of rain and there were some leaks in the house. the staff and owners were all very friendly but were not always able to act on for example the leaks. I think this holiday represents excellent value for money for families with children or maybe people on a tighter budget. You have to bear in mind you cannot expect a 5star experience for such a low rental price. All our children absolutely loved it and we would like to go again. A car is necessary.
