Situated at the foot of the picturesque village of Saint Paulet in the region of Aude, the house offers spacious accommodation for 12 people, a private pool, and wonderful views towards the Pyrennees. It boasts 6 luxury bedrooms, 4 generous bathrooms, a fabulous modern kitchen, an enormous beamed double height sitting room with a traditional Lauragais fireplace, dining room, a cosy 'den' with satellite TV and DVD, and a library/study. The 19th century house is bordered by a delightful stream, La Rigole, created by Pierre Riquet to feed his famous Canal du Midi in the reign of Louis XIV. The property has a beautiful garden, nestling beneath the Chateau of St. Paulet, surrounded by sycamores and cypress. La Bomba is an easy 45min drive from both Carcassonne and Toulouse airports and both cities offer outstanding sight-seeing and shopping.

La Bomba is situated at the foot of the village of Saint Paulet in the heart of the Lauragais region. It is a ten minute drive from three towns - Revel which has a fantastic market every Saturday, certainly one of the best in France; Castelnaudary which is the main town of the Canal Du Midi and is internationally famous as the home of 'cassoulet' ; and Villefranche-Lauragais which has great restaurants, a cinema, and excellent transport links. A little further afield are the cities of Carcassonne and Toulouse. Both are about a 45 minute drive. Carcassonne is a UNESCO World Heritage site boasting an incredibly well preserved medieval castle. Toulouse is one of the most fashionable of French cities with superb dining, excellent shopping and fun nightlife. Both have international airports with regular flights from London and the rest of Europe. The house is also close to the Pyreness with a 2 hour drive to ski-ing resorts at Ax-les-Thermes and Andorra. The autoroute A61 is 15km.
