Luxury, spacious, modern 4 bedroom villa & 2 bedroom house situated in the tranquillity of the vineyards, on the outskirts of the bustling riverside market town of Limoux, with private gardens, terraces and barbecues with exclusive use of heated pool, with sunbathing and shaded areas.

This charming villa & house benefits from fully equipped modern kitchen's with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher.

The villa has 2 double bedrooms (1 en suite) 2 twin rooms, large family bathroom (bath & shower) and 2 separate WC's. Open plan kitchen through to large lounge/dining room, satellite TV, DVD and Hi-Fi. Large garden and heated pool*.

The house has an open plan kitchen/dining room. Spacious lounge with sofa bed, satellite TV, DVD and Hi-Fi. First floor: Master bedroom with en suite bathroom, washing machine, triple bedroom, shower room with WC and hand basin. Both properties have central heating. Sat changeover. Bed linen and towels included.

Limoux, which is the epicentre of the Aude department, clings to the foothills of the Pyrenees and is the home of the famous 'Blanquette de Limoux' the oldest sparkling wine in the world, it is a typical French town, with a traditional market square nestled in amongst a good variety of shops and restaurants. Limoux is set in the heart of the Cathar country wherein lies the magnificent fortified city of Carcassonne, also airport, golf & lake ( 20 mins. away).

During the summer it's party time in Limoux and all the celebrations & festivals are 100% authentic. From young to old there are a multitude of different activities to enjoy both in the surrounding mountains & in the pure waters of this tranquil spot.

The Mediterranean & it's beautiful beaches are an hour away as are the Pyrenees with their breathtaking beauty & wonderful hiking, & skiing in winter. So, if it's excitement and adventure, history & discovery or peace & tranquillity our home in Limoux is the perfect location

A French Gem of a Gite

I have just completed one of the most enjoyable weeks of my life staying at Allison and Kevin's Gite in Limoux. The Gite is well equipped, super clean and very comfortable. There is a wonderful swimming pool and the grounds are fully enclosed, so no fear of the children escaping. Ideally situated in the midst of a host of
vineyards, if you are a wine buff this is the place for you. I just could not count the number of nearby vineyards where you can drop in and taste the wine. There are also a plethora of local restaurants that give great value French Cooking whilst not far away there are Michelin starred restaurants for the more adventurous diners.
The owners are very helpful and are more than willing to go the extra mile to ensure your satisfaction. They are super hosts who wil ensure you have a great time.I cannot speak too highly of them and their efforts. Try this Gite, you will not be dissappointed.

Literally, a Home Away from Home.

We arrived at Quatre Saisons right after our Organized Tour in Scotland. We literally went from bags outside the door by 6AM and meals at Table 28 to an atmosphere of complete freedom and friendliness. Alison could not have catered to us any better than she did. The basics (in terms of food and drink) were waiting for us, the house was spotless (and we tried to keep it that way) and any informational pamphlets and maps were ready at hand. What a contrast with the Tour. Here, we could map out our own 'destiny' and we did. We had a holiday of a life-time at Quatre Saisons "parmi les vignobles" thanks in large part to the generous hospitality of Kevin & Alison Downie.

An ideal place to chill out and relax

My wife and I stayed for a week September 2010, and it wasn't long enough to enjoy the delights of the region and the house and pool. We had some wonderful hot sunny days so made good use of the excellent pool, and loungers. The house was spotless and Alison was a wonderful hostess, shame Kev had to work he missed some hot days.The region has lots to do and see, and is a great destination to travel through some typical quiet french villages, or enjoy sitting have coffeee in old medieval town squares people watching. Carcassonne, Mirapoix, Renne -les-Bains and the Millau Viaduct are all great places to visit. We would not hesitate to visit this region and Quatre Saisons in particular again soon.

Bliss!

We booked a week for the end of June and after a long drive from Limoges where we stayed overnight, we arrived after following Kevins accurate directions ( a novelty in France from my experience) to find this little oasis of calm. The Villa is very well furnished and the pool is excellent. I had arranged for the rest of my family to arrive by plane; Carcassonne 20 minutes literally, which they duly did and they all had a fantastic time. Kevin and Alison could not do enough for us and we felt very much at home and were shown northern hospitality at it's best. As it was so relaxing, we didn't get around to doing very much at all but we did visit the City and ate a superb lunch at Le Comte Roger; 14 Rue St Louis, five adults two courses each and a very reasonable bottle of red, 155 Euros all in, fantastic! If you are looking for home comforts in a foreign land, give Kevin or Alison a call, but don't spread the word too much as we won't be able to book when we want to again ;o)
