This modern, air conditioned villa has a completely private, heated salt water swimming pool. It sits in extensive, well cultivate grounds which border the Canal du Midi. You will be welcomed with complementary wine, soft drinks and a light lunch. Help yourself to seasonal fruit and vegetables from our gardens and orchard. The villa is fully equipped to the highest standard, with fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, Sky TV, CD player, DVD player. There’s even a Nintendo Wii! All bed linen and towels are provided, as well as CDs, DVDs and books. A sataBaby equipment on request. Your will find provisions in the cupboards, fridge, & cleaning materials. In the grounds is a play centre for younger children, a giant trampoline for adults and children alike, a table tennis table and swing ball. Nestling in a traditional village amongst the vineyards, it takes 15 mins to get to Carcassonne and less than an hour to drive to the Mediterranean beaches. Restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away. This is the main wine producing area of France, so you will have ample opportunities for wine tasting. In summer, there are local events almost every day. The Cite is unmissable! It gets busy in summer, so go early in the morning. Other must-sees are the Cathar castles at Lastours and the Gouffre Giant de Cabrespine. O2 is a wonderful aerial climbing park for adults & children alike, just next to Carcassonne. In winter, you can drive to the Pyrenean ski resorts in about 1hr. A huge selection of good pistes, cross country skiing, snowboarding, trekking with snow shoes and working with huskies & sledges. Additional information about rental rates

  • All prices are per week, IN on Saturday generally after 2 and before 4pm (to coincide with Ryanair flights) and OUT by Saturday 9am. You may be able to come in earlier depending on how much cleaning we have to do after the last guests, so please call us when you get close. Please call us and come to the house, drop you luggage and then go supermarket shopping.

    Deposit required of 25 % and final payment is due 7 weeks before the start of the rental period.

    Outside high season other arrival and departure days, or shorter stays, can be discussed.

    We love animals but cannot accept pets for short term rentals of less than a week, Sorry

    INCLUDED IN RENTAL - IN SHORT EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED part of our holiday philosophy.
    All towels including pool/beach towel, bath towel, hand towel, facecloth, tea towel, shower mats.
    Pool cleaning and maintenance. Gas and Wood for BBQ's Firewood.
  • Everything is included in rental, electricity for heating in Winter and air con in summer. The pool is heated from end of March till the end of October. If you wanted it heated in winter, then just ask.
  • Mum needs a holidy as well so we have set Tango up so that the children will entertain themselves and Mum and Dad can chill out, have a drink of wine and lounge by the pool.

Local Information and Activities: For your arrival and enjoyment at Tango we have prepared a book containing all the local information, supermarkets, doctors, dentists, Boulangerie/Patisserie and Charcuterie/Boucherie. Marseillette, Trebes, Capendu and Carcassonne have all the essential shops and there is an excellent choice of restaurants within a reasonable distance (walking and by car). Markets in the villages around Marseillette are on different days of the week and are well worth a visit. There are riding stables 3 kms from here and tennis courts in Trebes (7 kms), hiking or cycling routes into the Alaric hills or along the canal. The Jouarre and Cavayre lakes (15 and 10 kms) have supervised swimming and a hire base for sailboards and kayaks. The beaches of Gruissan, Leucates and Narbonne are about 40 minutes by car. The medieval city of Carcassonne (15 minutes by car) and the ancient Cathare chteaux (within an hour's drive) are all well worth seeing. Children always love the medivial shows over summer.

SOLE USE 12 x 7 HEATED Salt water pool: Tango guest have the sole use of a beautiful HEATED (28 degrees) salt water pool. This sun soaked pool is great for the whole family in that the pool is split into thirds, the first third is 900mm deep so young children can stand up and play, the next is sloping down to the final third which is 2 meters deep great for diving etc. At the deep end there is a ledge that young children and the less confident swimmers can stand on when in the deep end. The Shallow end is .9 meters deep.

Family Fun Winter or Summer: Tango has a Wii for those few wet days or evenings. We have a range of games for the whole family, yes Mum and Dad's love this as well. Even my boys grandparents played golf and tennis. Summer Sigean Animial Park Near Perpignan Fantastic day out but you must get there at opening to see the animials feed. Carcassonne Medivial Shows during peak Summer. 15:00 and 18:00 sessions July 14th Fireworks display over the wall city Summer Numerous village fetes

Other Activities: Mediterranean beaches 40 minutes by car Skiing 90 minutes to Pyrenees

We have never been to a more relaxing spot, little extras you offer like having all of the essentials already there, coffee tea milk wine bread (even ice creams for the children) all included ... it was so much more relaxing for 'Mum'. Thanks for your advice on places to see and visit, the markets are great and the Segian Park was the highlight for the children.

Family and I had a great time in Tango. I have never come across a host who was so helpfull, accomodating and generous as Andrew and the facilities at the villa were incredible, particularly if you have kids (ours are aged 6 and 9). The pool was great and being heated was great, especially in October. We hired Andrews car too which again was really helpfull for us, and that sat-nav got us out of a few scrapes! I would say that Marseilleitte was past its best (might have been off season) but there is plenty to do close by.

great accommodation, the grounds and trampoline, pool and swings made for a wonderful stay. the nearby bigger towns are gorgeous and it's easy to get to from the airport. the owner provided excellent customer service. the only thing that detracted from it was that there wasnt much going on in the local village - but that could be because we werent there peak season. overall, really lovely.

We have just returned from our first French holiday and we are so pleased that we chose "Tango".

The location was lovely (La Cite at Carcassonne enticed us to the area in the first place and surpassed our expectations), the accommodation provided everything we could possibly have needed and, I might add, was in excellent condition and the Swimming Pool, well it speaks for itself (it made the holiday for us and our young son).

We would most definitely recommend this property to other families as it is entirely private and, therefore, safe. The Villa itself is "set back" and therefore feels incredibly peaceful and relaxing, however, it is in actual fact situated very much in the village and only steps away from the Canal du Midi. Walks along the Canal are lovely and the novelty of a working Lock is fantastic entertainment for all, especially for a 5 year old boy who was keen to help!!

We cannot praise the facilities we have enjoyed highly enough. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would return without hesitation. The Owners, Andrew and Carol, were lovely people to deal with and made us feel incredibly welcome even before we even reached "Tango".

It was a long drive to the Languedoc-Rousillon region, however, trust us when we say that driving up to a gorgeous swimming pool, glinting beneath a French Summer sun is a sight to behold! The lunch that awaited us was most welcome and we can thoroughly recommend the Wine that was kindly provided (the "Vineyard" is only a short drive away - we made a point of finding it!).

Holiday Heaven!

We have just returned from a wonderful holiday. This holiday property is excellent and fulfills all that the information promises. Nothing is left to chance and every need catered for. Andrew said that he wanted to make our holiday as stress free as possible and he achieved this completely. We arrived to find a delicious lunch laid out for us which we greatly appreciated. The house is in a most tranquil setting and whilst there was only two of us (over 50's!)using the accommodation we can quite see how good this would be for families too. We were eating strawberries picked from the garden for breakfast - what a treat! Evidence of plenty of other vegetables growing ready to pick soon too.
The pool was BLISS when we returned after sight seeing in the mornings. Le Cite in Carcassonne was fantastic and should not be missed, only a 10 minute drive away - we went 4 times! Trebes is a lovely place to sit and have a coffee or glass of wine and watch the world go by on the Canal Du Midi. We discovered a lovely restaurant called Moulin right beside the triple lock. Excellent food and very friendly service. We cannot recommend this holiday home highly enough and would definately consider another holiday there in the future. Thank you for everything Andrew.
