Our Mediterranean style Villa is set in 2.5 acres of land with pretty landscaped gardens, separate pool area and a small fruit orchard. The Villa is fully equipped for family living and provides modern and spacious accommodation for 8 people. The main living areas all open on to the sun terrace which runs across the front of the Villa - providing an ideal spot for outdoor dining and entertaining. The Woodland area provides welcome shade during the heat of the day and quiet spots for one to sit and admire the beautiful views of the vineyards and the snow capped tips of the distant Pyrenees… The heated pool (10m x 5m) and summer kitchen are situated on their own landscaped terrace area below the villa. The Villa is secluded and has electric security gates and extensive outdoor lighting making it safe and secure for all guests. The village of Verzeille is a short walk away, with many restaurants and small shops in the neighbouring villages.

Our Villa is situated 15 minutes South of Carcassone on the edge of a small typically French village - Verzeille. On the door step is the major wine growing area of Limoux, home to 'Blanquette' with the Minervois and Corbieres wine areas nearby . Other interesting local towns are those of Mirepoix and Fanjeaux, steeped in Medieval history. The famous walled 'cite' of Caracassone - a world heritage site - and the Canal du Midi are only a short drive and not to be missed - truly an historic and spectacular place with an abundance of excellent restaurants and entertainment. Within an hour's drive are the larger towns of Toulouse (to the West) and Narbonne (to the East) plus the golden beaches of the West Mediterranean. A 1 1/2hr drive takes you up into the picturesque Pyrenees with Andorra and then Spain just beyond. For Golf lovers the wonderful 18 hole Carcassone Golf course is only a 10 min drive up the road with other courses available towards Toulouse and Narbonne.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Christmas and New Year rates are available on request and there is flexibility over dates. Please phone to discuss.
    Changeover days are Saturday (except for Christmas/ New Year). Some flexibility is available on changeover days during the lower season ie. October through to April. Please contact us for more details. Short breaks and long weekend rates are available at certain times of the year. Again please contact us for more details.
  • These rates include all services, heating, electricity (excluding the swimming pool heating which needs to be agreed with the owners and paid for separately), linen, towels and pool towels. The Villa will be cleaned on your departure and on a weekly basis for stays of more than 1 week. Any extra cleaning requirements will be charged as extra. A £300 damage deposit is required with your final balance and this will be reimbursed 2 weeks after departure subject to no damages or excessive departure cleaning.

    During the low and mid season dates, pool heating will be charged at 30 Euros per week. The heating is on a thermostat and maximum temperature is 26 degrees when heated.
  • A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking with the balance to be paid 2 months prior to your arrival date.

Notes: The Heated Swimming Pool has a security cover complying with French legislation and the pool is cleaned and maintained on a weekly basis. Heating for the pool is available at an extra weekly charge. The Pool terrace also has a Summer Kitchen area with sink, and fridge plus additional seating/dining area if you wish to stay by the pool all day. As the Pool terrace is South facing Sun Umbrellas are provided to offer ample shade during the heat of the day. With small children of our own we understand that safety and security are very important so the land is securely fenced and electric gates, with remote control, are fitted at the entrance to the property. There is ample parking for cars (out of the sun). Linen and towels are provided and changed on a weekly basis for those renting the property for 2 weeks or more. Pool towels are also provided for all guests.
