Located in the picturesque medieval village of St Thibery on the banks of the river La Thongue, the house is a large Maison de Maitre, built in 1850 where at one time wine was produced and stored. We have a beautiful courtyard in the heart of the house which provides a place for relaxing and dining. Pezenas, great for shopping, antique and book shops, with its lively saturday market and renaissance architecture is minutes away, whilst the golden sands of the Mediterranean are also close by.

The 6 person Luxury Apartment - Situated in the heart of the house, the apartment consists of 3 large bedrooms, all with en suite facilities, Master bedroom including a bath. Two bedrooms have access to a balcony, where you can enjoy the sun and relax in the evening, the other looks out over the village towards the church, a truly beautiful view. A large dining/lounge area, approx 7m x 4m, with a magnificent marble fireplace and all the detailing that you can expect to see in a house that's 150 years old. Fully fitted kitchen complete with dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge/freezer, single oven, and large 5 burner cooker. The kitchen also provide access to the balcony at the rear of the house, overlooking the courtyard, to which you also have access.

Named in honour of Saint Thibéry in the 9th Century by the Benedictines, the village dates back to Roman times, when it was called Cessero, which gives its name to the local wine. The present abbey and church date from the 14th Century. A Roman day takes place in August with Gladiators, Son et Lumière and and a banquet in the market square for over 300 people! Large shops and the renowned open air Saturday market can be found at nearby Pezenas, a town noted for it's Moliére Theatre, art galleries and many cultural festivals throughout the year. Saint Thibéry is less than 20 minutes drive from bustling Bèziers with its famous Friday flower market, boutiques, bars, restaurants and theatre. Forty minutes in the opposite direction is Montpellier, offering all the excitement of a thriving metropolis. The long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are only 15 kilometres away.

we booked an apartment with 3 Bedrooms, a kitchen and livingroom, but we didnot got it. When we arrived we got 3 chambre, each with a toilet and shower. The kitchen and the livingroom could be reached by passing the staircase. There was no posibility to close these rooms. The outher guests could also reach this rooms.
To my opinion the owners knew that it was not o.k. and much to expensiv for what we got. But they also knew, that there was no other posibility for us to stay at that time.
No posibility for privacy.
Owner's Response: We are saddened that the quests did not enjoy their holiday. Our aim is to provide facilities and surroundings that will enable all those staying in the house to experience a pleasurable and relaxing time whilst on holiday. We take the issues raised very seriously and always respond to all questions regarding any aspect of the accommodation with honesty and candour.
