Aumes is a peaceful and pretty village, surrounded by vines and garrigue. Our accommodation is on the edge of the village looking across the vines to the mountains of the Haut Languedoc National Park. If you are looking for accommodation from which you can walk or cycle straight in to the countryside then this is for you! On the other hand, 5 minutes by car takes you to the medieval town of Pézénas with its stretch of cafés ideal for watching the world go by and locally renowned Saturday market. A dip in the sea at the local beach of Meze can be followed by a meal in one of the restaurants specialising in seafood, especially the oysters from Bouzigues. The wealth of landscapes here makes for a very varied stay from the coast to the mountains with the rivers, lakes and gorges in between, not forgetting the Canal du midi. The village of Aumes itself is friendly and unspoilt and has wonderful parties for 14th July and 1st August.
