Catering and Shopping:
All our properties are designed for self-catering, but when you wish to put your feet up you can join in our weekly barbecue or Mediterranean dinner evening (depending on the season) as well as wine tasting with fellow guests. For a really relaxed arrival, order our starter pack of basic essentials to see you through until you feel fit for shopping, and/or our arrival meal. We have a large selection of local wines for sale and the nearest local shops and markets are just a few minutes’ drive away.
Rural Surroundings:
Bigno Garrigo stands in grounds of nearly 3 acres, with colourful garden areas, olive grove and a large area of “garrigue” with wild herbs and a variety of flora and fauna. There are tracks, trails and country lanes for walking and cycling, or you can relax over a glass of wine on your terrace and enjoy the superb views over the vineyards across the beautiful green valley.
Regional Attractions:
A short drive takes you to the long sandy Mediterranean beaches, or up into the Montagne Noire – or to the local tennis courts, horse-riding, canoeing in the gorges of the Orb, river fishing and several attractive golf courses. There is a good selection of excellent value local restaurants and regional wines to savour. The region has an enormous amount to offer for touring, with many of the historic towns and villages very well known and Spain less than two hours away.
Golf:
There are a number of courses in this part of France, to suit players at all levels.
'Golf Passes' are available offering players 5 green-fees (for a single player) for Eur175. The pass can be used at any of the 14 participating golf courses over a 21 day period and can be used to play the same course on two consecutive days.
