A tastefully renovated and modernised barn conversion with something for everyone. Grand Saint Nazaire offers a fabulous private swimming pool with stunning, uninterrupted views over the vineyards towards the ancient Cathar church of Capestang and the Black mountains beyond. The house has three levels. The ground floor has a spacious open plan kitchen and dining area that opens out onto a large terrace. There is a downstairs WC and separate utility room (washing machine and drier). A fantastic living room on the upper ground floor with satellite TV and DVD . The first floor offers three bright double bedrooms and two stylish bathrooms. The property is set in its own vineyards with the fully enclosed pool area within a mature Mediterranean style garden. There is a petanque pitch and table football. The grounds are completely private and extend to over two acres.

Capestang (only 1km from the house) is a charming village, centred on a square and the Canal du Midi, it has outdoor cafes, restaurants and bars. There are a range of other amenities including boulangeries/ patisseries (5), butcheries, pharmacy and local caves. The 14th century Cathar church is also found in the square and overlooks the twice weekly market - Sunday and Wednesday morning. Just 2 minutes walk beyond the square is the Canal du Midi (designated as a World Heriatge Site) with magnificent views to the Mediterranean over vines and to the peaks of the Pyrenees. Capestang enjoys an idyllic setting and is in a prime location for easy access to the more cosmopolitan cafe life of both Beziers and Narbonne. The beaches of the Mediterranean, and the Black Mountains of the Languedoc Regional Park are within 30 minutes drive.

Attached barns: The attached barns form part of the property and are only used by the owners for storage. The pool is a good size - 11x7.5m max with a paddling pool/ lounging step. The house is set in grounds of around two and a half acres, with around one third used for the garden and pool area and the remaining under vines.

What a great place to stay it is a fantastic big house that can accomodate 8 people with plenty of room to spare.It is beautifully decorated and has the best pool and garden to enjoy. Great BBQs were had on the terrace and the children loved chasing each other through the vineyards. It is perfectly located to visit Carcassonne Narbonne and Mountpellier. Dont miss the market in Narbonne it is great. We hired a boat on the Canal and had a great day out. The beaches are wide and the water was warm a nice suprise as our holiday was early June this year. Thank you for sharing your house with us we will definitely return in the future. We had the most memorable time with our friends in Capestang.

Grand Saint Nazaire offered us the perfect getaway from stress filled lives. A lot of thought has gone into providing everything we needed. The pool area is perfect for full days of relaxation with the kids, followed by a lazy BBQ on the terrace. The children loved the local wildlife and exploring the local fields whilst we enjoyed exploring and tasting the local wines! This is our third consecutive year of going to Grand Saint Nazaire- that says it all!!
