Traditional stone house in Cevennes

'Conduzorgues' is a charming old country house located on 14 wooded acres in a green valley at the foothills of the Cevennes with a nice stream. The house is a traditional cevenol style stone construction, and the interior of the house combines traditional style with modern amenities. It contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large living, sitting room, large kitchen, large terraces with panoramic views. It accommodates up to 6 visitors. The village, St Laurent le Minier, is about 2km from Conduzorgues. It has a bar, two restaurants, and a nearby shop/bakery. Just at the entrance of the village the Vis river, one of the purest in France, has a beautiful waterfall with pools below to swim and dive.

The Mediterranean sea with great sand beaches is about an hour's drive away. The renowned wild beauty of the Parc National des Cévennes is in your backyard! Two major cities, Montpellier and Nimes, are both within an hour drive away. They are both full of interesting things to see and experience, entertainment and great dining, historic sites within the cities and immediately surrounding them. Avignon and Arles are about one hour and a half away by car.

Notes to the rental rates

  • Weeks run from Saturday 3pm to Saturday 11am. Normal minimum booking during summer period is 2 weeks, although, depending on the period, one week bookings or additional weeks are sometimes available. We request a booking deposit at a rate equal to 30% of the total rental. The balance is payable 6 weeks before rental commences. For bookings within 6 weeks of rental, payment is required in full. A security deposit of 30% is payable with the final payment, refundable upon leaving less unlikely damage or excess clean-up fee. Rates quoted include all linen, towels, and departure cleaning. Rates also include electricity and dial-up internet. Telephone dialing out is with phone cards. You may need to purchase a gas cylinder for cooking if it runs out during your stay.

There is also sleeping for 2 available in the entrance living-room downstairs with a sofa-bed easy to set up and an old fireplace.

Notes:

The entrance sitting room downstairs features a traditional fireplace and access to the East terrace and garden. The main sitting room (35m2) has a deep down sofa for comfort; double doors lead to a balcony on the South side with great vistas. The large newly remodeled kitchen includes a dining table and chairs for six for the few times in summer when you may not want to eat outside on the adjoining large covered terrace; a dishwasher, modern gas stove with 6 burners and a large refrigerator complete this room. The kitchen gives access to a large covered terrace (25m2) on the West side which is ideal for most meals in the summer; there is sitting for 12 and a stone barbecue. Washing machine and dryer are down below. Central heating is available as needed.
