Located in a 17c fortified hill village. Stone built house has been restored, preserving its ancient character and charm. Impressive double height hall, furnished with antiques, has a Mezzanine. Fully fitted new kitchen with dishwasher. Master bedroom has high beamed ceilings and magnificent views across the Orb Valley. Mature Mediterranean S-facing garden with large swimming pool and mountain views. In the village: Nearby tennis courts. 2 bakers, grocer and greengrocer.butcher and pharmacy,organic fruit and veg and tabac. Area is rich in natural beauty; mountains rise dramatically behind the village. Freshwater gorges, for swimming and mountain walking. Historic towns with markets and music festivals. Nearby is Lamalou Les Bains; interesting spa town, cafes, cinema, opera & casino, riding, golf and restaurants. Mediterranean (30-40mins), for sandy beaches. the garden has a shady terrace for al fresco dining, sunloungers round the pool and 3 other shady furnished areas.

Notes: Large Village house in 'unspoilt' rural France set in an area of outstanding beauty. Garden has large terrace and 3 pergolas and beautiful swimming pool.Older children are welcome but safety issues need to be discussed.as the garden has low walls and is ramparted and the pool is deep it is important that your needs are met.The house has been restored but retains its ancient charm as a village house in a quiet location where life has changed little.Its 'old France'.It is important to note that there is no internal staircase between the ground and first floors,which may be important . The garden and fantastic views are a special feature of this house ,with 'sunndowner seats'in several areas from which to enjoy the sunset over the mountains.,It is however a house in a quiet village and therefore unsuitable for guests wanting to 'party' ! Area of outstanding natural beauty.: This area of France is a haven of unspoilt mountains, rivers, gorges and woodlands. Teeming with bird life and a mass of wild flowers in Spring. You can swim in the rock pools of the deep gorges that run steeply down from the mountains or do serious hiking up to the top and on a clear day see the Mediterranean shimmering on the horizon. For the less energetic the mature garden and pool also have wonderful views across the valley to the mountains. The sea is about 30km and great fun for a day out shopping swimming and staring!!.There are many interesting and historic towns and villages nearby with street markets, churches and musical events to be enjoyed along with restaurants specialising in local recipes and produce.

Things to do.: In the village there is tennis walking caneoing and you can walk up into the mountains from the house for miles. Nearby in the mext villge there is golf, riding, bicycle hire, opera, cinema and two markets selling local produce.There arelocal musical festivals as well as tempting antique fairs!! and many fascinating and historic towns in the area.
