25% reduction in September for small parties. 20 Rue des droits de l’homme (street of human rights) is a recently restored old town house, sleeping 8, in a well positioned road in the old part of the town, convenient for wandering around in all directions. The ground floor has garaging for 2 cars a dart board and table tennis table. There is a laundry area, beach furniture and children’s toys. The first floor has 4 bedrooms, complete shower room, plus separate loo & shower. The top floor has been arranged as one large room with kitchen corner (cooker, fridge/freezer, & dishwasher plus extremely well equipped utensils), dining area, and sitting room (with log burning stove for winter use, CD, video and DVD players, television, games, books, etc.). A sliding patio window gives access to a large west facing roof terrace with a view across roof tops to the church. The sun is on the large terrace (with seating for 10) from about mid-morning until sunset.

The house is 100 metres from Marseillan Village centre, 300 metres from the harbour of the Etange du Thau (famous for sea food) with 20 restaurants, 2 wine caves and the renowned Noilly Pratt within 5 minutes walk. The house has loads of maps, guide books, etc and you can get lots of information from the tourist office in the village. There is horse riding, boat trips, scuba diving etc. The lakes are full of birds, particularly flamingo and much of the area is a bird sanctuary. Further afield, Sete (brilliant produce market on Wednesdays) is an attractive old French port with canals, Montpellier is beautiful. Good days out include Aigues Mortes, the town the crusaders left from which has complete walls, and is close to the Camargue. Nimes with its complete Roman arena and the Pont du Guard. Carcassonne, an hours drive, is probably the most famous of the walled towns. Many Cathar castles. The Salvador Dali museum at Figueres is about 1 ½ hours away and Barcelona 3.
