The beautiful 'Mas du Serre' comprises a 250 year old traditional Languedoc Farmhouse and a separate Barn, both renovated to a very high standard and situated in a delightful small hamlet hidden among the vineyards. Each house is private and completely self-contained, but has been designed so that if larger accommodation is required the 2 houses can be used as one. The properties are built around a superb private pool area with an 8 x 4m swimming pool, with roman steps, extensive terracing with tables and chairs, a summer kitchen with pizza oven, BBQ, sink and fridge and a decked sun terrace with loungers and garden benches. The pool area is shared between the two houses only and is completely private with wonderful views over the vineyards and olive groves. However, each property has its own private terrace. There is a small olive grove with plenty of room for children to play, and the whole area is overflowing with colourful flowers, Mediterranean plants and fruit trees.

Notes to the rental rates

• Rental periods are Saturday to Saturday. Arrival from 16:00 hours and departure by 10:00 hours to allow for cleaning and inventory check. A deposit of 10% is required on booking. This is non refundable unless the property can be re-let. A further deposit of £100 per week is required to cover any costs for damages. This separate cheque will be returned within 2 weeks of departure after inventory check. The price for winter rental periods is negotiable.

There is beautiful scenary here in the sensational Parc Naturel du Haut Languedoc, ideal for walkers and hikers, and the medieval villages on the mediterranean coastal plain are perfect for sight seeing, summer fiestas, fetes and open air markets. For the more active, rock climbing and kayaking are available, cycling and mountain biking, parascending, sailing and riding. There are also nearby activities for children of all ages. For a more relaxing holiday there is the golf course at the nearby spa town of Lamalou, plus there is plenty of wine tasting in the largest wine growing region of France. The house is conveniently placed for several airports, specifically Montpellier, Nimes, Carcassonne, Perpignon and Toulouse. Road and rail links are excellent.
