In the middle of open countryside the house is close to all amenities.The villages of Quarante and Creissan are 5 minutes by car. Both have bakers, butchers, supermarkets, newsagents, hairdressers, bars and restaurants. There is a large supermarket at Capestang 10 minutes away.The provincial towns of Narbonne and Beziers are 30 minutes away. This area is rich in history with many places to visit. Narbonne,for example,was one of the first Roman ports in the Western Mediterranean. A Roman storehouse still exists, there is a Roman pottery at Sallelles d' Aude. Carcassone has a beautifully restored medieval fortress,where there is an astonishing firework display on Bastille day (14th July). Opera is performed against the backdrop of the ancient city walls. Canal du Midi is 5 minutes away. There are leaflets in the house to help you plan your stay. The tourist office in Puisserguier, open all year and only 5 minutes away, will give you advice and information especially on summer events.

Relaxing Holiday

We spent a very relaxing two weeks at this property last year. The house is very well equipped and in a lovely setting amongst the vines. There is lots to do in the surrounding area that suits all ages. Saying that it was hard to drag ourselves away from the lovely pool and peaceful gardens. We took home lots of happy memories, lots of wine and far too many extra pounds in weight!

A totally serene haven

We've recently returned from this rustic haven, set among the vineyards of Cressin. The setting itself is ideallic if its comfort and peace that you want.
The local town has all the produce needed for a typical French meal and should a supermarket be required its only a short distance by car. Also there's a market twice a week (again only a very short distance by car)
Obviously there's plenty of vineyards around should wine be your thing (and why wouldn't it?)
The house itself is very welcoming with its country style kitchen and cosy seating in the lounge area. The pool is a welcome relieve in the summer months as is the bbq.

Thoroughly recommended.

The house is very well appointed and cared for, with an attractive pool. It is situated peacefully on its own, amongst vineyards with lovely views to the south. We have found this property to be one of the most enjoyable we have stayed in, as in addition to the house itself, there is plenty to occupy oneself in the area. We hope to return again.

This house is absolutely lovely and exceptionally well equipped. It feels a bit like staying in a friend's house and being looked after. Beautiful countryside surrounding the house and really peaceful location. The large garden is ideal for older children to explore, pool could be used even in the last week of October thanks to mild weather. Car is essential in real rural France!
