Wine and the town of Beziers:
Languedoc-Roussllion is the largest wine producing region in the world, a wine lovers paradise, vineyards as far as the eye can see. Most villages have their own 'cave co-operative’ where wine is made and sold. There are also many privately owned vineyards where superb quality Faugers wine is now being produced.
The owners will welcome your visits and offer tasting of their full range of wines.
The town of Beziers (14 miles) offers something for everyone. A beautiful tree lined boulevard with endless cafes hosts a huge flower market on Fridays. There are many cultural events throughout the summer including the famous ‘Feria’ where the whole town is taken over for four days of bullfighting, street markets, musicians and traditional carnival.
Painting breaks:
The area is ideal for that relaxing painting break with breathtaking views and architecture within easy reach. The resident artist owner Derek Corke (please contact us for his website address) is on hand to offer advise on location, materials, composition and painting techniques.
Children & Sport:
For the children and sun-worshipers the amazing sandy beaches of the Mediterranean lie just 18 miles to the South. All water sports are catered for and you will find a large range of excellent cafes and seafood restaurants.
Within 20mins of the house there are two golf courses and the mountain rivers provide wonderful opportunities for canoeing, kayaking with hiking right on your doorstep. There is a Paint Ball park close by and a trampoline within the grounds of the property.
