In a beautiful elevated position overlooking the medieval village of Montagnac, Domaine de l'Hortevieille, a former wine-making property is set in 10 acres of fields, gardens and orchards with its own large, secure pool and tennis court. Horse riding is available and mountain bikes are provided for you to explore the beautiful adjacent countryside. The property is ideally suited for a tranquil summer holiday by the pool or on the beach or if you prefer a more active break in or out of season there are endless possibilities to get to know this rich and historic area. Whatever you interests - wine, good food, golf, fishing, antiques, history, the list is endless - the Domaine's English owners are on hand to help you enjoy your stay to the full. Two individually designed spacious houses are available for rental - each one well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, television. Each has its own private furnished terrace with barbecue facilities.

Originally part of the principle Domain this house has been created on three floors (the first two are split-level) with many original features to provide high quality spacious accommodation for up to 10 people - less if you prefer to relax in luxury. For out of season holidays there is full central heating. Views from the front of the house are over the Domain's grounds down to the village of Montagnac with the church illuminated at night time. The rear of the house overlooks the extensive gardens and swimming pool with vineyards beyond. Accommodation consists of fully equipped kitchen/day room (washing machine, cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher) with spiral staircase to upper floors; sitting room with TV and large bed settee; double doors leading to south-facing terrace; bathroom with large bath, shower and WC; two large double bedrooms; large second floor bedroom with two singles and two bunk beds; terrace with dining table, chairs, barbecue, parasol and sun loungers.

Surrounded by vineyards and dating from the 16th century, Domaine de l'Hortevieille is set in a tranquil rural location occupying an elevated position with stunning views in all directions. The domain is situated just outside the medieval village of Montagnac which has lively bars and restaurants and can meet your everyday shopping needs. There is a colourful weekly market where you can buy local produce and specialities such as shellfish and charcuterie. And of course right on the doorstep there is an abundance of superb local wines for you to taste and buy. Five minutes across the river Hérault is the beautiful town of Pézenas. Here you'll find a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets as well as a whole host of craft shops in the old town. In contrast, the lively resort of Cap d'Agde is half an hour away where all kinds of activities await you. More temptation awaits in the nearby cities of Béziers and Montpellier with their chic cosmopolitan shops and historic sites.
