20 Rue du Commerce is located in the medieval hilltop village of Servian, midway between Beziers and Pezenas, but a 25 minute drive to the Mediterranean, and looking towards the mountains and the Orb valley in the north. The house is situated in the oldest part of the village, and close to the Place du Marche. Recently renovated, it retains many charming features including open stone-faced walls, the central spiral staircase, and the ancient cave. On entering the house at street level you will find yourselves in a large living area which includes the kitchen. There are double windows onto a small balcony with open views to the countryside beyond the village. On the first floor is the double and twin bedroom, landing and bathroom. Up to the second floor you will find the summer sejour onto the terrace - fabulous for al fresco dining, and stunning views towards the mountains. There is also a shower room with WC.

The medieval village of Servian is located midway between Beziers and Pezenas, .just off the N9. It is just a 15 minute drive to the autoroute at Pezenas, soon to come all the way to Beziers. If you have come for the Mediterranean beaches you have a fine choice of Cap d'Agde, Sete, Marseillan Plage, Serignan etc. Marseillan and Meze are located on the Bassin de Thau. You will find yourselves criss-crossing the Canal du Midi and the River Herault. Within easy striking distance are the historic old towns of Pezenas, Agde, and further afield the marvellous fortified city of Carcassonne and the Minerve area with its Cathar history. To the north, through this great wine growing area, the largest in Europe, you reach the beautiful Orb valley, and the mountains beyond, with the Gorges d'Heric and the Lac du Salagou. Avignon and Nimes are a possibility for day trips, or even over the border into Spain, via the delightful Collioure.

Perfect house with everything you need for a holiday exploring the Languedoc/Herault region. Close enough for visits to the beach also.
Modern facilities, clean and tidy with amazing views of the mountains from all windows.
All amenities you need in the village, with very friendly restaurant and bar owners.
Fabulous upper living area and terrace with views for breakfast and evening drinks. Loved staying there.
