A wonderful house in the Languedoc

We are frequent visitors to the South of France and have stayed in many places once, but we all love this house so much that we are looking forward to staying here for our 5th time-it's a real home from home. This lovingly restored, immaculately kept former monastary is spacious and very well equipped. The courtyard with its variety of plants is lovely,as is the pool, so much so that we struggle to get our children to leave for days out, even to go to the fabulous beaches and rivers nearby. The games room, with darts, pool and full size table tennis table, is a real bonus, especially if you have older children.
Sarah and Nick the owners couldn't be more helpful and obliging. They have lived in the area for nearly thirty years and therefore have a wealth of local knowledge to impart. There are the beaches at Vendres,Valras and Narbonne, the river at Roquebrun, the markets at Capestang, St.Chinian and Beziers. Carcassonne is an hour away and really is a must see, as is Minerve.
Whether you are a frequent visitor to the area or a first timer, you couldn't possibly do better than this house for both standard of accommodation and location. We can't wait to go back.
