The Town

Marseillan, situated on the Etang du Thau (famous for its Mussels and Oysters), is where the Canal du Midi joins the Mediterranean. Its vibrant port area, with its stylish bars and restaurants is an excellent place to sit in the sunshine and watch the world go by.

The Beach

Marseillan beach is two and a half miles from Marseillan town, with a beach that stretches from Cap d'Adge in one direction to Sete in the other, a distance of some sixteen kilometres. This is a hazard free beach with fine golden sands, shallow warm waters where children can play and swim in complete safety. The beach is for sun lovers and those who enjoy the natural environment. It is reputed to be the cleanest French beach on the Mediterranean.
