'Les Trois Oliviers' nestles on the outskirts of Castelnau de Guers a picturesque medieval hilltop village dating back to the 11th century. The village has a bar/restaurant, post office, boulangerie, grocer, butcher and tabac. It's renowned for 'La Circuit St Antoine' a walk which explores the village and surroundings with stunning views of vineyards and mountains. Castelnau is a short drive to the beaches the nearest being Meze and Marseillan Plage. Cap d'Agde, a 30 mins drive away boasts 'Aqualand' sports park. A short journey north takes you to mountains, lakes and gorges. Lake Salagou is renowned for fresh water swimming and Gorge d'Heric ideal for abseiling, hiking and canoeing. Culture and history are catered for in the nearby towns of Pezenas, Montpellier, Carcassone, Narbonne and Beziers. Pezenas, a renaissance town with its' winding cobbled streets housing shops, galleries, bars and restaurants, is a 5 min drive from the village. There is a large market every Saturday.

'Les Trois Oliviers' is ideally situated in the heart of the L'Herault area of the Languedoc. It is 5 minutes to Pezenas, renowned for its art galleries and antique shops. Sit in one of the numerous cafes and watch the world go by! There are numerous tourist towns such as Nimes, Beziers, and Montpellier or visit the ancient walled city of Carcassonne which is just an hour away. For children, head to the coast for water sports. Vias, Valras and Marseillan Plage have fun rides but the main one, Cap d'Agde, has theme parks, Aqualand, Toons-Land, Luna Park, an aquarium and there is also a forest adventure park 'La Foret d'acrobates'. Sete has jousting during the main summer months. For the more active there is golf, abseiling, canoeing, horse riding, hiking and walking in the area. The Canal du Midi is a short drive away. In the largest wine producing area in France there are plenty to try before you buy! There are many supermarkets and restaurants nearby. You'll be spoilt for choice!

The second bedroom has a double bed and an ample wardrobe. plus wall radiator The third bedroom has twin beds and an ample wardrobe and heater. The cot can be located in any of the three bedrooms.

How to get there

There are a large number of airports served by budget airlines. Beziers is only 20mins away and there is a new Ryanair service from Bristol. Nimes (1hour drive - Ryanair from East Midlands, Liverpool and Luton); Carcassone (1 hour drive Ryanair from East Midlands, Liverpool and Stansted), Perpignan (1 hour drive -bmibaby from Manchester, Ryanair from Birmingham and Stansted and Flybe from Southampton), Montpellier ( 40 mins drive - the nearest - Ryanair from Stansted, Easyjet from Gatwick); Avignon ( 1hr 40mins drive - Flybe from Exeter and Southampton); Marseilles (2 hour drive- bmibaby from Birmingham, Easyjet from Bristol and Gatwick, Ryanair from Glasgow and Stansted). It is also possible to fly into Gerona just across the Spanish border - only 2 hours drive with many flights - Bournmouth, Blackpool, Bristol, Liverpool, Newcastle, Durham, Doncaster, Glasgow, Stansted, Luton and East Midlands). Barcelona and Toulouse are also possible - 2.5 and 3 hours drive respectively.
