Three delightful villas in an authentic Languedocian wine estate
Domaine du Cayrat is a traditional Languedocian wine estate nearby the city of Pézenas. An old chapel (XVII°) is overlooking the courtyard and its sweet-smelling fig tree, surrounded by the farm buildings recently renovated to welcome our guests. Le Cayrat is an ideal place to rest and enjoy peaceful holidays with family or friends. Le Cayrat is an ideal location from which to discover Languedoc. There are many places that can be easily visited on a day trip; Montpellier, the capital of Languedoc and the town of Nîmes, which boast some impressive Roman ruins. Westwards lie the towns of Béziers, the Cathars castles and the spectacular medieval fortified town of Carcassonne. But you can also go to the beach (25 minutes): diving, fishing, sailing, wind surfing or enjoy your stay at le Cayrat. The enclosed courtyard is ideal for children to play together, for the older the 'Petanque' and for all the family, a large outdoor pool (13x7) surrounded by shrubs and closed by a gate.

Cazouls d’Hérault is an old wine making village located amid vineyards along the Hérault river. In this deeply traditional village, old people chat on the bench between the Templar castle and the church, and dogs sleep in the middle of the streets. Nearby the village of Paulhan, with grocer, chemist, butcher and café. On the way to Pézenas, six kilometres from Le Cayrat, Lézignan la Cèbe (Cèbe means 'onions' in the old language), you will find a grocer, butcher, chemist and during the summer, fruit and vegetable stalls along the main road. In Pézenas, there is a good range of shops and services including supermarkets, cafés, and restaurants. The Languedoc Parliament sat in this town in the 17th century and the famous French playwright Molière lived here for some years. Pézenas is full of history from Middle Ages: many beautiful buildings which can be visited, more than 35 antique shops and craft workshops throughout the summer. Saturday is market day in Pézenas and it is worth a visit.

On your arrival
Beds will be done Jacques has chosen for you one bottle of red, rosé and white wine For your first breakfast some homemade apricot jam by Monique. If you wish, we can provide you with a cold meal on your arrival or if you give us a shopping list in advance we can buy the provisions and it would be awaiting for you at the villa. During your stay baker is delivering daily fresh bread, croissants, pain au chocolat in the courtyard – just listen out for the honking horn in the morning. Our butcher Eric is offering a daily course (for example blanquette de veau, sauté de porc ...), brought direct to your table. The list of the daily courses (from 4 to 7 euros/person) is at your disposal on your arrival. The swimming pool is secured: completely surrounded by bushes, a double lock on the door as well as an alarm on the swimming pool edge.
