4 sleeps apartment, the beach just below and a marvellous view over the salt-water lake on the Pyrenees mountains . Large balcony facing the south west, living room with two sofa-beds and a single pull-out bed, kitchen area, 1 bedroom with a double bed , 1 bathroom. Cap Coudalere is part of Le Baracares resort located between the Mediterranean See and the Leucate marine lake in Pyrenees-Orientales, Languedoc - Roussillon, the southern region of France near the Spanish border. The apartment is so close to the water, the view so large, sitting in the dining area of the second floor balcony you feel yourself on the desk of a boat. You can spend all your time on the balcony watching the activities on the lake whilst sipping a glass of local wine until the coloured sunset behind the mountains. You will quickly discover one of the greatest European wind surfing spot. World cup is in April. Coudalere is a car free Catalane style village on a peninsula with small squares and green areas.

  • Thirty percent of the booking rate is required with booking. Balance of payments 6 weeks before arrival along with damage deposit of one hundred and fifty Euros.

    Swimming pool and tennis charges are to be paid on site

    Between the months of October and March, there will be an additional charge of 15E (£10) per week for electricity and heating.

A traffic free village: Cap coudalere is a car free Catalan village. The small harbour is surrounded with bars, restaurants and shops. There is a swimming pool in the village and another one with water slide at the Marina Atlantide leisure centre and seawater treatments at the Institut Thalassol in Barcarès.

All sports: You can practice water sports with your own material or in a surf and sailing school. There is a private beach near the apartment, children can be watched from the balcony of the apartment. A twenty minutes walk allows you to reach the more than 10 km long Leucate Barcares beach The region is a sunny paradise for activities like cycling, diving, fishing, golf, horse riding, mountain biking, rafting and hydro speed, paragliding, roller blading, sailing, surfing, swimming, tennis, walking, water skiing, wind-surfing, water sports, beach activities at any time of year.

Cultural and visits: Also discover Roussillon/Catalan food & wines, Mount Canigou walk up, the Roussillon Cathare castles, Tautavel pre-historic site . Just a few minutes drive away is the Catalan city of Perpignan. Picturesque towns like Collioure, Ceret and Figueres in Spain are beloved by artistes. Barcelona is at a two hours drive.

The apartment was in an ideal location, the view was magnificent. All the info given by the owner was accurate apart from 'the beach just below', there was a small beach but it wasn't THE beach, that was a 5 minute drive or 20 minute walk away. The owner was fantastic with the info, maps,places to visit,local shops etc were all there. There were loads of activites, something happening in the square near the apartment nearly every night(singers, dancing and 2 night markets), a great complex for families.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
