A perfect holiday destination

Mas Pallares is a fantastic holiday destination. It is set in a beautiful location, close to one of the most attractive towns in France - Ceret.
We have been six times to Mas Pallares with our two teenage sons and have always stayed in L'Etable although there is a range of accommodation types to suit different tastes. There has always been plenty of things to do to keep each visit different and keep us all entertained.
You can swim, go down to the river, walk in the foothills or go further afield into the mountains to attractive towns and villages; you can enjoy enjoy the beautiful scenery or take part in the numerous outdoor activities. The coast is about 45 mins away with a variety of seaside types - busy or quiet - to suit your mood.
Barcelona, Gerona, Carcassone, bits of the Canal du Midi and Figueras are easily 'doable' in a day from the Mas as are Cathar castles and the vineyards of Minervois and Corbieres. Nearby Perpignan has excellent street entertainment on Thursday nights in the holiday season. Ceret, like many towns in Catalonia has a bull fighting season and this makes the town busy and colourful, but it is easy to avoid if it does not appeal. However there are numerous fetes de la bieres in the neighnouring towns and villages.
As for the Mas itself, it is a lovely building in a lovely garden close to an excellent pizza van and a good bakery. There are good services for your stay and each unit has its own barbecuing facilities - which make for an excellent stay. We have taken our boys there from their early to late teenage years and they have loved every visit - as have we. It is the fantastic location which makes it - and the great host.
