Apartment Steps to Beach in Collioure, France

The apartment is located on the second floor of a high-quality residence with two swimming pools and a tennis court. It includes a gated parking space (absolutely necessary in Collioure in the summer!) The complex backs onto a beautiful hillside, terraced with ancient stone walls, and topped by a historic windmill and a castle, to which you can hike. The location assures peace and quiet, yet you are only a 2 minute walk from the beach, and the shops and restaurants of lively Old Town Collioure. We have furnished the apartment with tasteful, quality furnishings. There is one bedroom with a double-sized bed, a living room with a double-sized sofa bed, a covered balcony to enjoy your morning coffee or afternoon aperitif, and a separate kitchen with all new appliances. The apartment is fully equipped, and includes linens. A baby crib/cot is available free of charge upon request.

The Languedoc-Roussillon region, on Frances southernmost Mediterranean coast, is renowned for dramatic landscapes: mountains, gorges, and broad, white sand beaches. The area is very popular with walkers, and is full of interesting hiking trails of various levels of difficulty. The charming fishing port of Collioure is located at the point where the Pyrenees mountains meet the sea, just 20 kilometers north of the Spanish border. Collioures pastel-colored houses, royal castle, ancient church and lovely azure bay have attracted artists for centuries, including Mattisse, Derain and Picasso.

The Residence is a lovely, small, 3-story building that is of high quality construction, and, although modern, incorporates local stone into the exterior. There are two swimming pools open in season, one of them a children's pool. There is also a full-sized, nicely equipped tennis court for your use (there are tennis racquets and balls in the apartment). There is also a boules court, and a boules set in the apartment. The Residence backs up to open countryside and, on one side, a vineyard. There are numerous hiking trails leading from the back of the complex up into the hills surrounding Collioure. There is a gated parking area for your car. You will receive the remote entry device with the key to the apartment.
