Spacious Olive farm apartment with beautiful views & large pool
This is a lovely, large, light apartment with panoramic views across olive groves and the vegetables and flowers on a working farm. A large lounge/diner a kitchen, three excellent sized bedrooms, the master with en-suite and its own sun balcony. It also has a wrap around sun terrace for outside dining. The apartment is on a farm owned by retired Cherry farmers but the farmer’s daughter, a local school teacher also works 500 olive trees and Hazelnut trees, vegetables and flowers. You will be able to buy the freshest Olive oil you have ever tasted plus vegetables and fresh eggs from the farm chickens. The apartment also benefits from the use of the adjacent Catalan farmhouse large gardens and swimming pool. What nicer way to spend a holiday in the Roussillon region but on a quiet yet working farm with its delightful and kind owners. The Olive farm apartment is situated is just the most incredible countryside haven, yet just on the doorstep of Perpignan and the Med just down the road.

The Olive farm apartment is in a conservation area of working family farms and gardens growing fruit and vegetables, herbs and flowers. There is even two vineyards a palm tree nursery and various tree nurseries. The area is called - les Jardins St.Jacques -which historically were the gardens for the monks of the St.Jacques church supplying produce to the growing conurbation of perpignan. This is a highly sought after location locally because of its peace and quiet and yet the entrance to les Jardens St.Jacques is right on the edge of a very attractive side of Perpignan. You can walk to the attractive centre of the city from the house. The majestic mountain - Canigou dominates the horizon and during the day, the gardens are a haven for many types of birds and some exotic species migrate here. Nigh times are very peaceful. Just10 mins drive from the Mediterranean, 15min from Spain and the Pyrenean foothills, this is an amazingly convenient and lovely spot.

The colourful and exotic city of Perpignan
Right on the doorstep of Les Jardins des StJacques is the city of Perpignan. It takes two minutes by car and is a lovely walk from the farmhouse. It is hard to think how anyone would want for more from a city. It is full of sophisticated shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and music clubs. There are many interesting festivals held in the city during the year. The old quarter of the city is home to several multi-cultural food markets and full of fascinating Catalan architecture. The icing on the cake is that almost at every turn, the city is full of exotic palm trees.
Roussillon, The Med, The Pyrenees & Spain
This is a truly superb region for any type of holiday you could wish for and at any time of year. Roussillon is the sunniest part of France with app. 320 sunshine days a year with the autumn being a real treat and break from colder parts of Europe. The Med resorts of Canet, Barcares, St.Cyprien and Argeles all with marvellous beaches are all just minutes away. The famous and beautiful Collioure, Ceret and Figueres in Spain are loaded with artistic history. The majestic Pyrenees wrap themselves around Roussillon and tumble into the Med, the lush countryside is quite simply carpeted with sun baked vineyards. If all that was not enough, the lovely Costa Brava of Spain is Roussillon's southern neighbour.
