This apartment has been just recently been completely refurbished and renovated. The bedrooms are bright and spacious and the kitchen has been fitted with the best of appliances - electric cooker, microwave, gas hob. A large sitting room/dining room comfortably seats up to 6 people. There is a TV/DVD/FM radio. The large balcony extends from the main bedroom - around two sides of the apartment - to the side of the sitting room. Free parking is included with this apartment which is in a quiet residential areas.

Once capital of the Kingdom of Majorca, and in turn belonging to Aragon, France, Spain and France again, Perpiny's capital of French Catalunya or Rousillon, and it flaunts its red and yellow Catalan colours to proclaim its cultural proximity to Barcelona, which has real proximity too, being only 187 kms down the autoroute. Perpignan is close to both Mediterranean and Pyrenees and is a great base to explore either. The Pyrenees plunge into the Mediterranean and a flat sandy coast meets the Spanish border in a rocky jumble of pretty bays. So you find beach resorts on the coast, like Le Bacar Canet-en-Rousillon and Argelsur-Mer as well as old harbours like Colliour, Porte-Vendres, Banyuls-sur-Mer and Cerb. Inland the department offers fruit trees and spa towns as it rises through ever more spectacular gorges into the mountains. Following the Tet valley up you find the medieval village of Castlnou, the famous monastery of St.Michel-de-Cuxa and the great fortress of Villefranche.

Notes: Parking is provided outside the apartment. The Residence is in a private cul-de-sac with no through traffic. While there are no numbered parking bays there is adequate turnaround during the day that finding a space is never an issue. The location is also quite safe at night.

This apartment provides the traveler with the perfect southern french experience . It is very spacious , clean and well-maintained . The owner and the housekeeper ; Vivianne , provide the best customer service . Located near the city centre park and Palais de Congres , you are within an easy walk to all of Perpignan's attractions . The Castillet ; Campo Santo ; Palais des Rois de Mallorca ; the antique market and art market every weekend in the park , the coffee and croissants on the Quai Vauban , theatre , live jazz , and an abundance of fine restaurants ( including our favorites " Vienne and Thyme" , all of these are at your doorstep . Leave Perpignan and within 30 minutes by car you are able to visit Spain ; the French Mediterrean ; or the beautiful Pyrenees mountains and Cathar country .
