St Genis is a charming village which is close to the foot of the Albères Mountains (part of the Pyrenees chain). Approximately twelve kilometres east is the Mediterranean with its numerous beaches. The countryside is beautiful and ideal for walking and cycling. There are many places of interest locally and on the other side of the border in Spain. The apartment is on the ground floor of a detached villa with access via French doors to a private shady terrace. Garden furniture and barbecue provided. The flat is light, bright and airy.

A very accurately described property. Ideal for a couple seeking peace and quiet to unwind from the stresses of modern life. My wife and I enjoyed greatly our fortnight and found Derek and Eveline to be perfect hosts. Their advice on local amenities was invaluable and despite the apartment being part of their home their presence was never intrusive.
Use of their pool is a huge plus, especially after a non-beach day out and makes the property good value in the high season.
The property is ideal for those of 50+ who simply want to enjoy the opportunities afforded by the region, providing an ideal base for both inland and coastal visits.
The lack of mosquitoes compared with other holidays in France was an added bonus.
The property was spotlessly clean and despite the relatively small oven was well appointed in all areas.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the property to family or friends.

just returned from a week with Eveline and Derek in the Languedoc.The accommodation was as advertised and came up to our expectations.The region like much of France is superb.We travelled from Santander and stopped off a number of times on the way in Logis de France,I would recommend getting on to the D roads and really seeing the Pyrenees in all their glory.Having lived there a number of years our hosts know the region well,they may recommend an excellent restaurant to you,just over the border in Spain.Villefranche de Conflens is well worth a visit too.Bonne vacance.

We have just returned form our 4th visit to this wonderful corner of France and have, yet again, enjoyed the most perfect holiday. Eveline and Derek's apartment is well-appointed, private and ideally placed for a whole host of visits to the beach and to many beautiful historic sites in the Alberes. But best of all is their unassuming kindness and hospitality. We now feel like an extension to their own delightful family! See you soon!

Quiet relaxing and comfortable

The accommodationis fine for 2 people and has a reasonably sized kitchen/dining/sitting room leading out to the private patio. Despite being part of the owners' property, it is separate, private and benefits from the friendly advice and help from the owners if required. The pool is beautifully clean and well-kept and available for use at all reasonable times. St Genis is a lovely village with a couple of restaurants, shops, wine co-op and interesting sites. There is plenty to do in the summer and it is easy to get to the sea, mountains and Spain.
Owner's Response: Our constant endeavour is to ensure our visitors are welcomed, comfortable and given advise and tourist literature of interesting places to visit, of which there are many.
