Petty Maison Cerbere
Review Submitted: July 1, 2009
Date of Stay: June 2009
We stayed in this property in June 2009. The owner's description and photographs are an accurate representation of the property. Located behind the seafront school in this compact town the property is only a very short walk from the beach, shops, restaurants, and bus and train facilities. It was nice to be able to go swimming without the need to change on the beach.
The property provided simple accommodation, although the owners are in the process of re-decorating and improving it. The covered terrace with sliding patio doors provided a large dining/ activity area. Apart from playtime in the adjacent school it was very quiet, with little apparent activity at night on the railway. We experienced no difficulty parking in one of the adjacent designated spaces.
Cerbere is the last town in France and quieter than most of the other resorts on this coast, although they are accessable by car, bus or train. It is a good centre for the marine reserve, or travelling over to Spain and the Costa Brava resorts by car or train.
