Casa Sola is the ideal location for family holidays or those just wanting to get away from it all. Relax by the deep pool on the lower terrace, play tennis table on the middle terrace or swim in peace on the private secluded top terrace. With areas to get away from the rest of the family to read a book or sunbathe, or enjoy the spacious planning of the house and entertain your friends, colleagues or family.

Casa Sola is built in terraces into the mountain face and is on varying levels. Entry to the villa is one level above the main terrace & plunge pool. Enter via the upper terrace with gas BBQ to a modern open plan kitchen leading to the dining room and lounge. French windows all round open onto terraces over looking the mountains. On this floor there is a double & single bedroom, family bathroom with shower, toilet, bath and washing machine. Up to the next floor, two double bedrooms, one twin & one single, large bathroom with toilet. There is another private secluded terrace on the bedroom level with an above ground pool, fabulous views and sun beds. For additional space, the one bedroom apartment under the house may be added to the rental to provide privacy or further accommodation, with table tennis and lovely views over mountains & sun for almost the entire day. Arles sur Tech lies upstream of Amélie-les-Bains, in the Vallespir, part of the Eastern Pyrenees; with pastoral, highland charm of geographical interest as it comprises the most southern communities on French territory. Orchards and crops are found only on the floor of the valleys. Instead there are forests of chestnut trees and beech, with vast expanses of unspoiled pastureland. Local festivities provide the best opportunity for getting a glimpse of the region's Catalan traditions. Anyone fortunate enough to see the Sardana being danced or rather celebrated is unlikely ever to forget the experience. Alres sur Tech grew up around an abbey built around 900 AD of which the church and cloisters have survived. The village has been the focal point of religious traditions now a centre of production of traditional Catalan fabrics. There is easy access to motorways and main roads leading up into the mountain regions for skiing, sightseeing and walking.

The property is available for winter long lets. Please enquire for details. Changeover days are flexible, although Sunday is the preferred changeover day during July and August, but please ask if you prefer a different day at other times. Short lets available throughout the year, but not in July and August. If you are considering a long or large party rental, why not book a 'taster' weekend and view the area - stay in our one bedroom apartment below the house. This can be included in the full rental for larger parties or for short breaks. This is not available separately during the mid and high seasons.

  • A non returnable deposit cheque of 25% will secure the booking. A security cheque is also required 7 days prior to arrival to cover all eventual damages and breakages which be returned within 7 days following your departure. Balance is due 6 weeks before arrival. Apartment is available at additional rental for larger parties. The apartment is NOT rented separately to the house, but in addition. You will be the only family on the property!
  • Meals are not included but BBQ's on the night of arrival can be prearranged. A welcome basket is offered to all our guests. For parties and functions, catering can be arranged.
  • Team building groups are welcome and activities can be arranged for you locally. Sales groups, meetings and training sessions are suited to this property. These groups can be catered by prior arrangement. Babysitting service available if prebooked.

Hair dryers are provided in the two large family bathrooms. All sheets are provided with 2 towels per person, laundry charge payable locally. Please bring your own pool and beach towels. Fans are available in each bedroom.

Notes:

The house is built into the mountainside with wonderful views from all the balconies and terraces. Smoking is permitted in the separated apartment or outside the property but not within the house itself. Although children are welcome, the garden is not suitable for young children or people with physical disabilities. There are a number of steps leading up to the main door and there are several secluded terraces and balconies surrounding the property. The property is sunny and bright throughout the day. There are a BBQ, a table tennis outside and other games available.

Relax & Enjoy

Play table tennis on the middle terrace with the backdrop of mountain scenery. Let the kids splash about in the above ground pool on the top terrace, leaving you peace and quite to sunbath or cool off in the plunge pool. There is something for everyone in the family, a niche, nook or cranny where you can be alone and curl up with a good book and get away from the others, or take time out and get to know the kids again. There are plenty of board games to exercise your mind if the local mountain walks don't entice you.

Team Building & Training Groups

The house is ideally situated for team building and training groups. With an additional separate apartment under the house, this gives a space for privacy or planning for trainers. There are a number of rooms so that all members of your group can be catered for comfortably and luxuriously. We are sure that your company will find this the right location.
