Large villa with private pool, terrace and stunning views

Comfortable, well furnished, modern, fully air conditioned villa on large secluded hillside plot with 40 foot sitting room and stunning panoramic views over the Tech valley. The main sitting room has sliding full width patio doors onto the large south facing terrace fully fenced 8m x 4m pool. Second sitting room has double sofa bed. Completely private but only five minutes from village. Satellite TV, video and Hi-Fi, garden furniture and BBQ. Modern kitchen and appliances including microwave and dishwasher. French style furniture but with comfortable modern sofas. Air conditioning/heating. Ample parking space. Since these photographs were taken we have fully fenced the pool and installed gates to prevent uncontrolled access to the pool area.

The villa is situated in an elevated position in the Vallespir (the valley of the River Tech) in the wooded foothills of the Pyrenees adjacent to the Spanish border. The area is noted for its all year round dry and sunny climate. It is only 4 miles on a good road to the nearest village, which has all amenities. The area is perfect for walkers, cyclists or just lovers of the outdoors with many spectacular walks nearby. The GR10 also passes through the nearby village. The famous Mont de Canigou is easily accessible. Colourful Ceret market can be enjoyed by all the family on Saturdays with the beach at Argeles or the picturesque port of Colioure about a 50 minutes drive away. The Dali museum in the delightful Spanish town of Figueras is about 45 minutes drive away. There are many restaurants both in France and Spain, varying from menu del dias to menus which would rival a London restaurant, although the view from the terrace may tempt you to eat at home.

Once at the villa however the configuration of the accommodation makes it pleasant for people with minor handicaps. We are happy to provide further information.

There is a splendid golf course 20 minutes away high in the Pyrenees with spectacular views, and another course at St Cyprien just 40 minutes.
