.This Villa is situated in the picturesque village of St Jean pla de Corts set in the mountainous landscape of the Pyrenees Orientals famed for its fine wine and food, tranquil atmosphere and sun drenched climate. The villa is detached with three bedrooms 2 with double bed and the 3rd with 2 singles. There is a large bathroom with bath/shower & toilet. The living room is fully equipped with plasma TV, internet and stereo and furnished to a high standard, this then follows through to an open plan dining and kitchen area, again fully equipped with American fridge, and oven, dishwasher etc... The dining area opens onto the terrace were you will find the view of the well stocked gardens and pool, to the rear of the house is a swing area and another covered terrace. The stunning landscaped lakes of the village are only a short walk away. Only 20 minutes from the coast and a 10 minute drive from the charming town of Ceret this property is situated in an ideal location.

St Jean is situated in a fantastic location you can be sitting on the beach at Argeles Sur Mer in 15 minutes, and if you continue a little further you will arrive at St Cyprien, then Canet en Rouisillion were there is plenty of beach activities available and Aqua park. You are a 10 minute drive away from the Spanish boarder taking you onto the Costa Brava. Figueres is a 30 minute drive were you have the famous Dahl museum, Roses 45 minutes, were there is another water park Aqua Brava and Barcelona 1hr 30mins. If you drive 45 minutes up into the mountains you will arrive at the start of the ski resorts were you can enjoy bathing in the natural springs of St Thomas les Bains. You also have the local villages such as Ameilie les Bains again they offer all the natural spring treatment, Arles sur Tech, Le Boulou and Maureillas which are all within a 5 minute drive from one to another. Castlenoue is one of the most attractive villages in the region, you can be there within 45 mins

Pool : The pool is 2.60 x 5.60 it has been well designed for young children as well as adults. There is plenty of space for sunbathing in the pool area. It also includes a full covered security cover which covers the legal requirments for France

A lovely villa close to beaches and mountains

Villa Roses has everything that you could need for a family holiday in this region of France. The furnishings and equipment are of a very high standard and the facilities that are available, e.g. swimming pool, SKY TV, internet access, are ideal for families especially those with teenagers prone to boredom! There was plenty of information available on nearby activities and places to visit, and tips from previous guests. The owner was very friendly and dealt with all queries quickly and efficiently - a good standard of customer service.
In terms of location the villa is close to Ceret, the Spanish border, and the coast, so plenty of options for days out. An added bonus is that the local bakery is within walking distance and there are two good restaurants also within walking distance in the village.
Just five minutes walk away is a lake with beach, adventure activities and a cafe/bar. This was also a lovely spot for an early morning stroll or a run before the temperature rose too much.
