This beautiful villa is set in a new gated development which makes it ideal for families. The villa is furnished in a contemporary style and the terrace is furnished for eating, relaxing and sunbathing. There is a big private garden. The kitchen is well equipped and there is a big barbecue area on the terrace with a huge stainless steel barbecue for all your outdoor cooking needs. The villa is centrally heated and solar panels provide plentiful hot water. It is a leisurely stroll to shops, to the Aqualand water park and most importantly a short walk to sandy beaches. The living area is bright and comfortable with TV/DVD/CD, and a good supply of films to watch. There is a private pool, lots of pool toys and a children's park in the development. Many amenities are a short distance away including golf, horse riding, go-karting, bowling and the historical towns of Carcassone, Collioure and Perpignan. A day trip to Barcelona is also possible.

The villa is within walking distance of the beach, the port of St Cyprien and the Aqualand Waterpark. There is an excellent leisure complex within walking distance with many top class tennis and squash courts. Restaurants locally include pizzerias and Michelin starred options. Perpignan is a short drive, Carcassonne is an hour and a half away and Barcelona is 2 hours drive. Airports include Gerona (55 min drive), Perpignan (20 min drive), and Carcassonne and Toulouse(within 2 hours drive).

Additional information about rental rates

  • Book more than one week and receive a 5% discount on second week and 10% discount on third week. A deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking. The full balance is payable at least 42 days before arrival. Cancellation charges of 30% of the rental will apply up to 42 days and 50% up to 28 days before arrival. No refund will be made within 28 days of arrival. A repayable security deposit of EUR 400 is required. A pool cleaning and maintenance charge of €50 per week and a compulsory final cleaning charge of €80 at the end of each rental are payable. Bed linen and towels are available for hire and should be ordered at time of booking. The cost is €12 per person. The commune of St Cyprien impose a Tourism Tax of 60c per night. The pool is not in use from 30 September 2007 to 30 March 2008.

Ski: The villa is about one and a half hours drive to the ski resort in Font Romeu in the French Pyrennees. There are many other resorts available in the area with excellent skiing opportunities to suit every level. the resorts at Andorra are also very popular and accessible from the villa.

Golf: There is a good golf course in St Cyprien.

Other Activities: Aqualand is 3 minute walk, Sports Complex with excellent tennis facilities is 5 minute walk

A great location for a relaxing holiday

On arrival, after driving up from girona airport, we were shown around by the owner, who was just finishing a holiday. The villa is in a gated complex and was well described on the website. The pool (with slide!) was wonderful and kept the children amused for the duration - it was cleaned twice a week. There is a massive gas barbeque, which we used most nights - the nearest shps at Les Capellans are about a kilometre away, which I cycled or drove to most mornings to pick up warm croissants and pain au chocolat - there is also a fish shop, butcher, greengrocer, minimarket, restaurants and takeaways. The kitchen was well appointed, so no difficulty with the cooking, and the dishwasher made cleaning up less onerous. The whole villa was clean and well maintained. The nearest beach was a leisurely twenty minute walk - although we thought the beach just beyond les capellans was sandier and ended up driving there most afternoons after our first day - there are parasols, beach chairs and the like at the villa, which we threw in the back of the car. We also visited the aqualand water park a couple of times (fun, but very busy), which is literally round the corner, no need to drive. On changeover day, our flight was late in the evening, but the owners were happy for us to leave our suitcases in the garage and take the chairs for a day at the beach. Overall, a really relaxing holiday for three generations of our family and one we could heartily recommend.

Very nice House, very nice People

It`s a real nice House. Just 10 min. to the beach. Just 5 min. to Aqualand Water Park. Very nice Area for Sightseeing. The Owners are very Kind and friendly and we were very Happy to be there and we´re thinking about to be there again. Shouldn`t write this because it should be a Secret tip.
