Luminous apartment on the second floor of an 18th Century town house with a sunny roof terrace where you can dine under the towers of the Duché - the château of Uzès. The apartment is simply furnished, decorated with original oil paintings and with a spiral staircase leading to the terrace. It is 20 yards from the arcade Place aux Herbes, famous for its colourful Saturday market which you can see by just leaning out of the window! Uzès, built from the white limestone on which it stands, is the perfect place to forget about time, relax, and lose yourself in the maze of little streets full of cafés, restaurants and historic sites, or walk in the shady river valley. Perfectly situated for visiting Montpellier, Aigues Mortes, the Camargue with its flamingoes and wild white horses, Les Baux de Provence, St. Remy-de-Province, Orange, Avignon, Arles and the Mediterranean beaches.

A wide stone staircase leads to the romantic and charming 'Matisse' apartment on the second floor of a town house built in the 1820s on the site of the ancient ramparts of Uzès. There is a free car park and a secure underground parking nearby. The apartment comprises: Living room; pale ochre floor tiles, cool white walls and very high ceilings with old wooden beams. Sofa, Moroccan coffee tables, easy chair, marble top bistro table with phone and WiFi access available, hanging kelim, oil paintings, up lighters and glass lamps on walls. Corner kitchen, round marble top dining table, decorative iron chairs, and a large ceiling fan to cool the apartment in summer.
