The seven self catering apartments have modern individual kitchens with classical painted oak doors and marble worktops. Each apartment has gas/electric hob, microwave, oven/grill, washing machine and dishwasher and is heated by gas central heating making these apartments suitable for all year round occupation.The fully restored stone building dates from 1804 and is built on arched cellars, consisting of several buildings surrounding a central courtyard, the property was originally a self contained estate with its own vineyard. All the buildings are south facing. A large private swimming pool with its own terrace, changing room/shower. During the past 4 years the buildings have been lovingly restored and renovated to modern standards but retaining its original character.

This spacious apartment features the wooden beams of the original barn building which was constructed in 1894. The spectacular mezzanine is accessed by a winding wooden staircase, this area is bright and airy and suitable for relaxing with a glass of wine or reading a book in the comfortable couch and chairs. There are excellent views of the surrounding area, village and vines from the many windows in this apartment. The large and spacious living/dining area features a wood burning stove. The large kitchen with its solid oak painted doors has top of the range Bosch appliances - built in oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and washing machine. The main bedroom with south facing views has a double bed and pine wardrobe, the remaining 2 bedrooms have 2 single beds and a double bed both with pine wardrobes. The main tiled bathroom features a separate bath, shower and w.c. With marble sink/top, in addition there is a separate toilet & washbasin.

The property is situated between the Cevennes Mountains and the Mediterranean near the village of St. Jean de Serres and is 10 kms from Anduze (this thriving town has restaurants, supermarkets, cafes; an exciting night market on Wednesdays, an excellent traditional market on Thursdays). The unspoilt area enjoys a warm climate with 300 days sunshine each year. Within 1 hour radius you have access to the Mediterranean beaches, the historic town of Uzes, (excellent market on Saturdays), Nimes (Roman amphitheatre), Avignon (Palace of the Popes and excellent shopping), Montpellier with its beautiful baroque buildings and elegant parks. The Camargue, Pont du Gard, the Gorges of the Ardeche and Cevennes National Park are all within easy driving distance. The Mas is situated at the crossroads of several paths & rural roads allowing you to walk or cycle throughout the locality & enjoy the magnificent views of the hills & the surrounding mountains. Bicycles are available for our guests.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The properties are let by the week - Saturday to Saturday.
    Arrivals after 4pm and Departures before 11am
    Prices are inclusive of all electricity, gas, linen & towels.
    Heating is charged at cost in the winter months (November-February).
    Linen & Towels are changed weekly, for guests staying longer than one week, cleaning can be arranged as required.
    Beds can be made up as doubles or twins to suit your particular requirements.
    A non-refundable deposit of 25% is required at the time of booking, the balance to be paid 6 weeks prior to arrival,
    plus a damage deposit of 200 euros (this will be returned by cheque or bank transfer one week after departure).
  • CANCELLATION POLICY:
    In the event of a cancellation, the full cost of the rental will be charged unless it is possible to re-let the property. It is advised that clients arrange holiday insurance that provides cancellation cover.
  • For larger groups or families or friends travelling together, more than one apartment can be rented. In this case a discount will apply to the total rental cost please enquire.

The Pool: The newly completed large pool (12 metres x 7 metres) has its own covered terrace area, changing room, toilet and shower. The pool is surrounded by a large stone terrace where the guests can enjoy the sun in the comfortable sun loungers. There is table tennis for the guests by the pool.

The Stable: The stable with its vaulted ceiling and under floor lighting is available to relax and read a book from our library. The solid oak bar is the centre piece for our wine tastings, where we sample some of the excellent wines from the region that our wine company - The Languedoc Wine Company imports into the U.K. and Ireland.

Other Features: Due to the availability of 7 apartments we can accommodate large groups and different families who may wish to share their holiday together. Bicycles are available for exclusive use free of charge for our guests.
