Peaceful Holiday in Bourdic
Review Submitted: October 31, 2011
Date of Stay: September 2011
We stayed here for a week in late September. With only four adults and one child, we had ample choice of bedrooms. There are three bedrooms on the first level and one bathroom, with one bedroom leading into the second one.
The third level has a large domitory style bedroom and another bedroom which contains an open-plan second bathroom.
We all slept on the first level and our friends used the bathroom on that level, while my husband, daughter and I used the bathroom on the second level.
The house is clean and comfortably furnished and it was very easy to self-cater with a couple of supermarkets 15 minutes away by car. The kitchen had everything we could need.
Bourdic itself is small and quiet but there are a number of villages a short drive away, which are well worth the visit. Uzes is 15 minutes away and full of shops and restaurants. A baker does the rounds between 9am and 10am if you don't want to get up and drive to one of the surrounding villages for croissants and bread.
Our daughter enjoyed the pool although it was a bit cold at the end of September for the rest of us. There was also a table tennis table in an old barn that we used a lot. The bikes were a nice touch.
It would particularly suit a family where the older kids could sleep upstairs with the adults on the lower level. The bathroom on the top floor is part of one of the bedrooms on that level and is separated from the dormitory room by a curtain so would be best for people who know each other really well!
We had a great time and I would recommend the house. Looking at the pictures online, I feel quite nostalgic!

Owner's Response: Thanks Suzanne, with four teenagers of our own the top floor is great to give them a sense of privacy.
