Mas de Cantemerle lies in a tiny hamlet in the midst of beautiful countryside in the triangle between Uzes 14kms, Ales 18kms and Nimes 25 kms. With views over the vines, this 18th century Mas has been restored with great care and taste, combining antique Provencal furniture with all modern comfort. A large patio garden, completely enclosed in front of the Mas provides lots of space for youngsters to play and there is a large grassy space behind the property plus lovely walks in the countryside directly outside the garden. A very charming rural atmosphere with local donkeys in the field below. Ideal for sharing with friends with plenty of space and amenities for all.

Uzes is at a short drive with a great choice of shops and restaurants and shopping can be done in a local supermarket at just 5 mins drive.

  • The first floor level has its own large kitchen with dining table ,living room with fireplace, terrace, shower room, wc and two double bedrooms. A separate staircase leads from the courtyard up to the second floor level which also has a pretty kitchen - dining room, bathroom, wc and a large sun terrace overlooking the vines. There are two bedrooms, one with two single beds and one family room with a double bed and wooden stairs leading up to a sleeping gallery with two single low beds making this an ideal family room.

Notes: From May to September the Mas is let as one unity for up to ten people. There are two self contained levels, each with a fully fitted kitchen and washing machine plus bedrooms and bathroom. Out of season it is possible to rent just one level, making it ideal for just one or two couples, in this case the other level remains closed.

Local activities: There are a multitude of things to do and see in the region of Baron. Nearby Uzes with its picturesque and bustling Saturday market is a delight for gourmets ! The Place aux Herbes provides a great choice of restaurants and bars for whiling away the hours in the shade of the plane trees. Canoeing on the Gardon and arriving under the majestuous Pont du Gard is a memorable experience. Avignon, the beautiful Papal city and Nimes with its Roman remains are both at about a half hour drive and provide plenty of cultural and artistic experiences. In the summer months , festivals and concerts abound. At an hours drive is the Camargue National Park with wild bulls, horses and flamingo's and the pretty sea side villages of Stes Maries la Mer and Aigues- Mortes close to the long sandy beaches near Montpellier .

Large south facing property with extensive terracing and private pool.Clean and well maintained property .Within 30 mins of all major ammenties.
Friendly owners live next door but never intrusive.
Property situated in centre of quiet hamlet with bread van delivery most days.
Only surprise was the pool is overlooked by neighbours.
