Les Alisiers is an old farmhouse fully renovated in 2003 and furnished with antiques. In the picturesque village of Collias yet quietly set in a 1 hectare private park. The house has 3 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning and a loft style apartment with kitchenette. Two living rooms, eat-in kitchen, large dining room and media room with satellite and large screen TV. Large pool (unheated), several outside dining areas including a covered BBQ with separate fully equipped kitchen. A charming upper terrace gives shady views of the surrounding hills. The house and park are managed by a British couple, living in a lodge well hidden from the main house. Basic shops are within two minutes walk, with a full service supermarket just 10 minutes away. Collias boasts its own Michelin starred restaurant, a few steps from the property, while the historic town of Uzes has a wide choice of dining. A river beach, hiking, quad biking, riding and canoeing are available in the village.

Les Alisiers is in the village of Collias, about half way between Avignon and Nimes. The village overlooks the Gardon River, a few kilometres from the Pont du Gard World Heritage Site. The popular riverside beach is a few minuutes walk from the house, and from here there are organised canoeing facilities to the Pont du Gard or you can follow riverside hiking trails through the Garrigue nature reserve. Riding, quad biking and rock climbing are also offerred. The historic town of Uzes, with its popular Saturday market, is 15 minutes away. The Roman towns of Arles, Orange and Nimes are within 30/40 minutes drive, as is the Papal City of Avignon. A little further afield you can explore the Camargue with its unspoilt beaches, flamingoes and wild horses. The popular beach resort of La Grande Motte is about an hour away.

Notes:

Living accommodation includes two vaulted rooms, a formal one with direct access to the pool and courtyard, and a panelled library/media room with large flat screen TV, plenty of DVDs and Sky satellite connection. Each room seats eight comfortably. The office also has a large TV and seats four informally. The new kitchen has granite work tops, TV and high end appliances including a large Lacanche range cooker and an American style fridge/freezer with ice dispenser. The kitchen seats six comfortably. The separate dining room can accommodate ten at one long table. In the courtyard is a covered dining area seating eight with a large BBQ, served by a separate summer kitchen with dishwasher, hob/oven and fridge. The loft style studio, with kitchenette, is accessed separately from the upper covered terrace which seats six and offers views over the surrounding countryside. There are further seating and dining facilities around the pool, and in the shady terraced rear garden.
