New House With Shared Pool In Historic Uzes

La Bastides d'Uzes is a residence complex in the beautiful town of Uzes. Built in typical Provencal style it has a delightful shared pool and landscaped gardens. Although it is only a very pleasant ten minute walk to the centre of Uzes, the house overlooks picturesque open countryside. The pool is open from mid May to the end of September. It is rarely crowded and sometimes empty as the residence is private. A perfect respite from the hot Uzes sun. Entry to the development is via an electronic gate and there is a designated parking space for each property. The house is bright, airy and comfortable and has a pretty, tranquil garden looking out over open countryside. It's a short stroll into the centre of Uzes, which is a beautiful medieval town that has a wide range of delightful cafes and restaurants. There are many shops to enjoy including antique and art shops. Every Saturday Uzes town hosts a famous, lively market in the arcaded Place Aux Herbes. Uzes is a gem not to miss.

Uzes is a picturesque medieval town, with places of historical interest and many shops cafes and restaurants. There are a range of other facilities including banks, launderette, doctors, dentists, pharmacists etc. Uzes hosts an annual dance festival in June and a music festival in July with concerts in the Duche and 17th century cathedral in Uzes town centre. There are many other events throughout the year including garlic and donkey festivals. Every Wednesday morning and Saturday, Uzes holds a well known market that fills the town selling food, pottery and typical provencal crafts. Uzes is a delight to behold. There are numerous places of interest close to Uzes, including the Papal Palace at Avignon, Roman architecture at Nimes Arles and the Pont du Gard. You can swim and hire kayaks at the nearby river Gardon which has lovely river beaches. Immediately surrounding Uzes, there are many interesting walks and bike rides and the Haribo museum is at the end of the lane.

Ryanair offer low cost flights to Nimes. Daily flights are available from Luton, East Midlands and from Liverpool, four times a week. Uzes is easily accessible from Nimes airport by hire car, taxi or public transport. By car it takes about 45 minutes to the house. Many budget and major airlines fly to Marseilles which is 1 - 1 1/2 hours from the house.
