This beautiful property is everything that one would imagine of a house in Provence. Dating originally from the 17th century, it stands amidst its fields of lavender with beautiful views sweeping over the orchards + fields to the perched hilltop village of Issirac. It has been fully restored in traditional style and offers every comfort for easy living. The garden is ornamented with olive trees and oleander bushes surrounding the swimming pool terrace. An adjoining covered pool house can be used for BBQ or siestas in the shade in the heat of the day.

| Notes: | The master bedroom, with views over the lavender fields, has its own private bathroom with bath shower wc. The two other twin bedrooms on the ground floor each have their own wash basin. The two double bedrooms on the first floor each have a private shower room en suite. |
'Mas Francès'
The Mas is an ideal family holiday house or for those seeking peace, quiet and fresh air in the nature of Provence. In a very calm situation it is only 600m from the village of Issirac with magnificent views of the distant 'Cévennes'. All shopping can be done in the pretty market town of 'Pont Saint Esprit' 10 kms away, or in one of the pretty medieval villages of the River Cèze valley such as 'Goudargues' (10 kms) la 'Venise Gardoise', its canal, bordered with plane trees and choice of riverside restaurants . Canoes can be rented either on the Cèze river or on the nearby Ardèche river for those who are more experienced! There are lovely walks in the beautiful unspoilt country side and bikes and horse riding are available locally. Golf lovers have greens nearby at UZES, AVIGNON & MONTELIMAR.
Sight seeing.
The Mas Francès is an ideal base for exploring our beautiful region; Nîmes and Avignon are at just an hours drive, a little further on is the wild Camargue and the sandy beaches near Montpellier. The magnificent 'Cévennes' mountains are to the west providing wonderful walks amongst the chestnut forests. Nearer to hand are the 'Gorges de l'Ardèche', the 'Pont du Gard', and UZES Renaissance city, with its beautiful market, a real pleasure for the eyes and the 'perfumes of Provence' herbs, cheese, fruit, vegetables, olives, etc... Wine lovers will be impressed by the choice of cellars to visit; all the well known 'Côtes du Rhône' as well as discovering the local 'Vins de Pays' .
Other Activities Canoeing on the Ardeche & Ceze rivers, very near.

I wanted you to know how much our family enjoyed Mas Frances! Our three weeks passed by without a glitch. The 8 of us had enough space to enjoy both family and quiet time. The location couldn’t have been better...remote enough that we could practice our French language skills yet close enough to the small towns and villages that we could explore shops, local culture and pick up the odd English newspaper when we grew desperate. The area was wonderfully diverse with hills and flats. My husband, brother in law and I took off every morning between 7 and 10 am to explore the countryside on our bikes. We felt very safe and enjoyed all the vistas of lavender fields and vineyards up close. Monclus was particulary beautiful with the early morning light and the markets in Barjac/Bagnol and Uzes were a real treat. We covered a lot of ground during our three wks. and it was always reassuring to know we would be returning to the comforts of Mas Frances at the end of the day. Liz B. Canada
