Shopping:
St Siffret has a little village shop which is at walking distance and provides fresh bread and a good choice of groceries.
A large supermarket can be found at about 7 mins drive. Uzes itself has a wide array of beautiful food speciality shops and is renowned for its large and bustling market on a Saturday, an absolute delight! Wine cellars abound with excellent wine at very interesting prices.
There are two restaurants in the village itself and many in the surrounding villages. La Place aux Herbes in Uzès provides a great choice of little cafés and bars plus excellent restaurants with outdoor terraces on the square itself.
Sightseeing:
An ideal base for visiting all of Provence being so close to Uzès and the world famous Pont du Gard. The beautiful Papal city of Avignon is less than an hour away as is Nimes, famous for all its Roman remains. And the beautiful surrounding countryside with its local markets and tiny villages to be discovered.
Activities:
There is a 9 hole golf course in Uzès itself plus larger greens in both Nimes and Avignon.
St Siffret has tennis courts and horse riding can be found in the local country side. There is even hot air ballooning in a local village!
A wonderful experience is to canoe down the River Gardon and under the monumental Pont du Gard.

Canoeing on the Ceze & Ardeche rivers or under the Pont du Gard on the Gardon river.
