Spacious house in an ancient village Perche which sleeps eight, (plus a z bed) with two newly refurbished bathrooms and a separate WC There is an outdoor pool 10x5 meters which can be floodlit for evening barbeques and a terraced garden with spectacular views over the vineyards. Many varieties of birds and butterflies visit the garden. There is full sized table tennis on the terrace. Cars must remain on the edge of the village except for personal access to village residences, so it is delightful to meander around the ancient village where children can play safely. Goudargues, just five minutes away down the hill:
A picturesque town on a fresh water canal that provides two bakeries, a supermarket, a green grocer supplying local produce of the area, garage, pharmacy, bank and a GP surgery with an English speaking doctor. There is a market every Wednesday and many small bars and restaurants are situated alongside the canal. The Camargue and Mediterranean are only an hour and a half's drive way. The historical towns of Nimes, Arles, Orange, Avignon and Carpentras are easily accessible.
The house is privately owned:
and used by two English families living in London, so it has a personal family touch. The caretakers live next door and are readily available to assist you, should the need arise. It may also be possible to organise additional cleaning, baby sitting or linen rental at the time of the original booking. References are available on request.
