Luxury restored country cottage with splendid view and heated pool

This spacious and well equipped country cottage is set in a green lush valley with lovely views. A large garden with several terraces surround the house. The heated pool of 5 x 11 meters is completed with a big terrace of which a part is covered. Here you find as well the stone barbecue and an outside shower for pool use. Privacy is guaranteed because the house is set at a rarely used dead end road. Ample parking is available. Chante Merle was originally built in 1833 and has been fully renovated and extended in 2002. On the ground floor is the fully equipped kitchen (40 m2) and the large salon(50 m2) with a truly majestic fire place. A veranda is connected to the kitchen. The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One bedroom is situated downstairs with a bathroom (shower,basin,toilet). The first floor contains the master bedroom with balcony and 'en suite' bathroom, with bath, shower, basin and toilet and as well the third bedroom and a rustic landing with two single sleepers

This beautiful restored country cottage is set in the Corrèze, on the border of Lot and Dordogne. It is well placed to visit the Dordogne Valley, Rocamadour and six of the 'prettiest villages in France' including Collonges la Rouge and Turenne. Wining and Dining The region is famous for its kitchen. Nearby you will find of lot of little real French restaurants, all serving good meals for very reasonable prices. On the menu you will find the regional dishes as foie gras, 'confits' of goose and duck, trout, wild mushrooms, cheeses such as 'Cabecou', Cantal and Bleue d'Auvergne, all accompanied by the wines of the region.

Culture, Music. In summer there are several famous festivals and concerts for classical music in the region. Museums. In the area there are a lot of chateaux which are now museums. The chateaux of Turenne, of Castlenau and of Montal (beside the beautifull golf course) are well worth visiting. Architecture. In the region are many chapels and churches in pure romanesque architecture to see. Most of them are still in use and have a lovely ambiance of peace and simplicity.
