Comfortable cottage in secluded, peaceful area

The house is just a 25 minute drive from Limoges airport, in the Haute Vienne region of the Limousin. The area is a beautiful, unspoilt part of France, and the house is set at the end of a quiet lane with a large private garden and plenty of room to relax — ideal for a quiet get-away with family or friends. It is just 10 minutes from the town of St Junien, which has plenty of supermarkets, as well as clothes shops and restaurants. There are also lots of villages where you can go for your daily baguette. Try St Auvent or Cognac la Foret. There is a gorgeous leisure lake with a safe beach two minutes drive from the house at Cognac la Foret, with picnic tables and tennis courts. There is also a lake 15 minutes away at Rochechouart, as well as a huge lake with a safe, child-friendly beach and play area at St Mathieu, about 30 minutes away, where you can hire pedalos as well as go sailing and fishing. There is also a golf course just 10-15 minutes away.

Golf courses

In nearby St Junien there is a fantastic 18 hole golf course set in a 200 acre estate. It's suitable for golfers of all levels, and the clubhouse has a bar and restaurant with gorgeous views across the course. Fees for an 18-hole round are from 29 euros during the week to 35 euros at the weekend in high season. For nine holes it's from 20-28 euros. It's easy to find, just over 4km outside St Junien, so 14 km from the house.
